I bought this Sony Camera after looking at several different digital cameras of similar price and features. What initially caught my eye with this particular model was the dimensions. It is considerably thinner than alot of its competitors, I assumed that trying to squeeze this much technology into a smaller space would compromise on the features of the camera, but it has all the features of the "S" and "W" Sony series' of camera. The difference being that Sony have got rid of all the dials that exist on the "S" and "W" models and have created a touch screen interface where these options are available.

In my opinion the picture quality is superb at 10 Mega Pixels in any but very dark conditions. The camera is turned on by simply flicking down the front lens cover and saves each image very fast, ready for the next shot. The touchscreen interface is very intuative and easy to use.

I doubt this would be the choice of camera for the professionals but for family holidays, picnics, nights out, general snapping it is perfect.

Some people have noted issues with the touchscreen developing faults but my camera has been fine.

The only faults i can find with this camera (and they are just minor quibbles) is that the battery has to be removed to be charged, not a good design if you loose things easily! Also the extras that are purchased seperately such as docking station, carry case etc. seem expensive, although this is more to do with how Sony price their goods i think!

The best thing I like about this camera is that not only does it take nice pictures very quickly, it looks superb, loads fast and slips straight into my pocket when I'm done.
