I was wondering whether to go for this or the 350, but the incredible price at which I got this one (£250 after mail in rebate) settled it for me. I already had some old lenses from my Minolta Dynax 800si so I bought the body only. Handling and setting up is very intuitive. I hardly needed to consult the manual. You start shooting as soon as the battery is charged and even without much twiddling, the picture quality is superb. It is fast and responsive. The only minor drawback is the shutter noise, but this is not really enough to detract from the whole experience. Advantages: Exceptional features at an unbeatable price. Disadvantages: Noisy Shutter.
This camera has exceptional features at a lower price compared to others in its price range. What I like about this camera is it's tilting screen and built-in image stabilizer for astounding shake reduction. There are also multiple Creative Styles for different photo environments without manually tweaking the camera settings. The kit lens also has a longer range (18 - 70mm).
The camera has a very noisy shutter. It's quieter than its predecessor ... ...with this camera, be ready to explain to them why (not to mention the potential lawsuits). One could hear the sound meters away. That said - not for future paparazzis.
Of course besides that, there's everything to love about this camera if you're a an amateur. It has the guts and techs better than other entry-level cameras out there, and for the price, well worth the investment! ...

Sonya200 D-SLR camera
Introduction
This Sonya200 is the bottom of the range fully fledged entry level d-SLR from Sony. With prices now well below £300 could this be the camera for you to enter the next level of your photography? I believe it can. Offering a wide range of features, lenses and quality that has brought Sony where it is today, this camera will definitely be giving the bigger names something to worry about.
The Camera
This camera is obviously designed from scratch to bring ultimate simplicity to beginners to enthusiasts alike. The build quality is very good for the price, though not as strong as many other cameras in the market, it looks as though it could still take a fair blow or two, but not three. The 10.2 mega-pixel offering is more than enough for most levels of photography ...
Advantages: Comfortable, versatile and looks good. Disadvantages: None.
like me)??
The bag is very comfortable when on your back and even packed with heavy equipment it can still be carried fairly easily.
As well as being very useful this backpack also looks stylish which for me is a must, I would not be seen dead wearing some of the camera backpacks that are around. When it comes to buying this you have to take care because the price varies dramatically from place to place.
I have seen it as high as £58.99 but as low as £35.99, I personally paid £42 for mine and have been very happy with my purchase.

twice or three times that for an average one, so you can understand the concern of people that Sony might abandon the market as soon as they had joined it, it would not be the first time Sony have pulled the plug on something that just wasn't going how they had foreseen it.
However the SonyA350k now see`s Sony bring out there fourth DSLR in quick succession and it would seem with the effort being put into these cameras and the brilliance of them that Sony are here to stay. So when you think about DSLR cameras you now have to think seriously about Sony. They have not only hit the ground running they have hit the ground overtaking some of the most respected names in the world of DSLR cameras.
The first SonyDSLR was the SonyA100 which was very quickly superseded by the A200 which was outdone by the very quick arrival of the A300 ...
