...on buying 2 of these Sony dvd-rws. Solely because they were £2 each, came in a nice jewel case and it had the sony brand on which meant good quality to me. What i found interesting was ebuyer sent me the 2 dvd-rws in a big box and a bag of air which meant they had f*cked me on shipping (excuse my french)

But unfortunately what happened was that each bar which represented 1% took 30 or more seconds to appear. This frustrated me as i was used to quick dvd-r writing at 4x. Since around late 2003 dvd writers started to appear in the market left, right and center. The writers differed in size, shape, capability and colour. But they all shared one characteristic and that was burning rewriteables at ridiculously low speeds.
I bought a toshiba dvd writer in about March 2004 and I as looking forward to writing games, music, movies and porn, i mean data. So after burning recordable after recordable with useless stuff (not porn) i decided that i should invest in some dvd-rw (digital versatile disc - rewritable) so i don't have to keep all this useless data(i reiterate not porn)
After scrawling through the endless catalogue of dvds on offer on ebuyer i finally decided on buying 2 of these Sony dvd-rws. Solely because they were £2 each, came in a nice jewel case and it had the sony brand on which meant good quality to me. What i found interesting was ebuyer sent me the 2 dvd-rws in a big box and a bag of air which meant they had f*cked me on shipping (excuse my french)
So i received them after a few days of ordering and off i went in writing all my essential data and porn. Once placing the dvd into my drive i proceeded in adding my data etc etc. Once i reached the burn stage there was no option for speed, i was using nero and since i wasn't in a hurry i just pressed burn. But unfortunately what happened was that each bar which represented 1% took 30 or more seconds to appear. This frustrated me as i was used to quick dvd-r writing at 4x. I realised that this was 1x writing and i immediately turned the monitor off and went to watch Eastenders. Eastenders begun at 7.30 and when I returned from watching the worst soap on the tv the dvd was 2% from being complete. Time elapsed? 33 minutes, I think the fact that the dvd-rws did not state meant that i should have expected this but isn't this their fault? So after experiencing data writing hell i proceeded in throwing it to the corner and using my recordables again because i don't want to wait and waste over half an hour writing a dvd.
Next time i decide to buy dvd-rws i wil probably buy a new writer and i wouldn't buy this media as i won't be sure what speed they write at. The only reason i'd buy these again would probably be because they are reliable so i wouldn't expect any coasters (dead discs) because they're made in batch.
...and video players.
The Sony DVD+RW 4.7GB Rewriteable Discs are very reliable but do cost a lot of money, they are of very good quality and dont scratch easily, they are probably one of the best DVD+RW discs on the market, i would only reccomend buying these ahead of a cheaper version, if you have the money . The discs cost me £4.99 each but you can get bargains on ebay. ...

Sony has developed DVD+RW discs for storing all types of data and video content. Each disc can hold 4.7GB of information, which translates to more than two hours of high quality MPEG2 DVD video with outstanding picture quality. The discs are the perfect mates for the Sony DVD+RW Drive, so now users can edit or create a movie on a PC and view it on most DVD players.
