Advantages: Small, stylish, wall moutable
Disadvantages: Single region, no dolby digital 5.1 decoder

...To be honest, I bought this DVD player on impulse purely because of it's look. It's small (10 by 2.3 by 7 inches), silver and can be wall mounted or stood vertically or horizontally. It has a slot-load drive and all connectors are conceled underneath the player. It supports CD-Audio, CD-R, CD-RW, and DVD formats. But as is the case with many Sony products, there are better DVD players out there for a better price. Here there is no dolby digital 5.1 support, no progressive scan and no multi region. The on screen dislay assumes you recognise it's strange symbols when infact the first time you saw them was in the manual. If you need a DVD player that won't take up much space, looks the part and you're not too bothered about sound and sharpness, this is for you.... Read review

...So you lot may think that sony are the best brand on the market ? Well as tests show this maybe not the case. Sony Trinatron W/S TV's have been proven to give out a 23% radiation charge which if taken in, in quantity may be very harmfull. As much as you lot admire Sony, I think it is rubbish. The quality is about as good as the new improved concoard and well...Don'y buy Sony equipment! The effects of this devastating defect is damaging to all sonys customers.
