This has got to be the best DVD Player in the market today.
It has a full aluminium casing and very pleasing to the eye and as my friends say “sexy”
I used to have an old Panasonic Compact model and just purchased this one last week at PDS440.00.
I thought I’d wait about a week before I gave my opinion on it.
I know the price might be a bit steep but this is the best DVD Player around and if you’re a movie freak like me you will appreciate the full benefits of this player.
The picture quality is crystal clear and this is enhanced with what Sony call “Smooth Scan”
The sound is out of this world especially if you’ve got a got a television with good sound capabilities, otherwise link it up through your Hi-Fi system to really enjoy the full benefits of the sound quality. Now I know the true meaning of “Home Theatre”.
The specifications as listed are as follows:
-Precision drive with advanced Sony smooth scan -Magic pad -Dolby Digital 5.1ch, MPEG and DTS decoder -RGB/S-Video/Composite output, 2 scarts, Component output -Digital video enhancer -Video equalizer (customized) -Digital cinema sound -Virtual enhanced surround -VES TV -96kHz/24-bit Digital audio out -Centre speaker equalizer -Dolby Digital 5.1ch, MPEG and DTS stream out: Optical & Coaxial, 10-bit/27mHz Video, 96kHz/24-bit audio D/A converter -Virtual surround headphones -Click jog shuttle, Aluminium panel.
I am really pleased with this equipment and strongly recommend anyone in the market for a DVD Player to have a look at the DVP S735D. Alternatively you can go for the S735 or S735S, which goes for about PDS350.00, but does not have some of the features as mentioned above. They are both identical in looks to the S735D.
In any case I can’t but help going along with the saying “Sony have done it again”
sounds good for a "Sony brand". Thanks for "listing the specification" I have read the same spec on all the webistes that sell this product. I was wondering if you could suggest are there any features you could recommend that make this DVD player a cut above the rest? you mention 2 other Sony Models S735 or S735S “but does not have some of the features as mentioned above.” Which would you say were the underlying features that make this 735-D A DVD player to buy? apart from the name!
Is this multi-region? Am I right in thinking this is just a DVD Player its not DVD-RAM...................................
(BTW the S735S (silver) is about £362 at empire + £8 delivery approx.) A good spec. thanks

How dare I mentor a bronze, but there's no need for the list!
