I got this as a present from my mum for my christmas and am very pleased with it, the sound is great, even at high volume you can get crisp tunes as you go about your business.The unit did cost £89.99 but was from John Lewis so i'm sure you can get it cheaper elsewhere.
You get a small unit that connects to the earphones that lets you change ... ...player.
Also if you have to stop it too talk to someone it'll remember where you stopped so you can carry on listening where you finished of as long as you don't open the cd lid.The battery once fully charged will last aroung four hours, enough for anyone.
I suppose it costs a bit more than others because it has 'jog proof' technology which should save it if you should drop it, which works well as its slipped out of my hands a few times. more

The SonyD-EJ615 is fantastic value for money. It is a CD Walkman that comes with 'Jog-proof' protection and I have had it since I was 14. I purchased it from Argos for about £80/90, and although this may seem a lot to fork out when you can get CD players for as cheap as £15 in certain stores, it has lasted me for about 4 years, and is still fully functional. The general design is what attracted me to this particular item; it is black with silver buttons, and since Sony made it I thought it would be a safe investment. I was right. When I first got it, the contents were as follows:
-A set of 2 rechargeable batteries with a case.
-CD player
-Headphones
-Remote control to skip tracks/change volume
-Instructions manual
-CD player charger
