On the four or five days I work each week, I commute for six hours - each day. Believe me when I tell you that mobile phones are the scourge of the planet. I was being driven to madness listening the the endless drivel that these communications devices inspire. I had a rather old Goodmans, it had been by my side for quite a few years, getting dirty, dropped, sucking battery life...and generally being a pain in the arse :) I thought...hmm...time to get a GOOD one. So....looked in Argos and came across some good ones, but this one stood out. Now how many hours playtime do you think you can get from 2 AA batteries? 3 hours? 6 hours? nope....your wrong....this one goes for 25!! Even with ESP ON! I was shocked! This CD Player looks rather basic but it is not as big as other players that I have used. The buttons suit the design well and there are few of them. It has to be noted that when you stop listening and you turn it off, the player will continue from where you left off. For me, this saves power, as I would usually have to pause it and leave it on for a bit, and it is very useful. A problem that I have had before is the hold button not working, but not with this player. A only bad thing about this is that it i loud when you start listening to a CD, and it is easier to disrupt it than my old model ... more
