This is a very convenient solution for printing out those precious holiday snaps, at a very high level of quality - make yourself a cup of tea and discuss with family whilst sorting through photo collections.

There are a number different methods that can be used for getting the photos onto the printer - it takes memory stick duo, SD cards, compact flash and also a direct (compatible) camera connection using a USB cable.

With the nice screen that is provided, photos can be previewed without a computer, which sometimes can save a lot of time as photos can just be taken from a card/camera as I said above. This also has another use, because photos can be fixed and adjusted before printing - something else that isn't possible if you go to a photo shop. There are things like brightness settings, cropping, contrast, red-eye reduction and other advanced tools.

The portable size of the printer is again a winning point. You can do your printing anywhere - in bed, on the beach (if you can find a power outlet!), in the garden, anywhere! This really is a great selling point, though I wish that there was a battery add-on for this (though not very realistic, this thing probably uses a lot of power).

I had a look online for replacement printer cartridges and paper, and it works out much cheaper than getting them developed outside, if you get the print pack (I can't quite remember the equivalent price per photo). This is very very good value.

When it comes to actually printing the photos, the quality is fantastic, although the printer is a little loud (I had to turn the TV up a bit to cover the sound), but the speed is quite good.

Overall a fantastic little portable printer, which will give you hours of photo fun. Without it, a lot of our photos will probably stay on the computer.
