As normal all the six-axis system works well, although it does get a little bit hard to control when you are trying to play a game using the six-axis control system and also when the rumble function is switched on.
When I first picked up the controller, I was quite surprised at how much heavier it was when compared with an original one. It also seems to be a little big bigger to try and hold. Apart from this, it is essentially a normal controller.
The newer games that are coming out in the UK now have already been upgraded to use the Dualshock 3s full potential. Also some of the older games have updates available online to incorporate the new controller.

Gran Turismo 5 Prologue (Not sure about GT HD) Motorstorm (Needs update) Juiced 2 Metal Gear Solid 4 : Guns of the Patriots Uncharted : Drake's Fortune
Overall, I would recommend this controller to anyone who has a PS3, although the release date is not confirmed yet.
After using this white controller for a while now, it has become clear that it was not a wise move. It collects all the dirt and shows up, for this reason get the black version when they come out.
Just to let you know that you can import any controller from any country and it will work with any PS3. I have now got 2 controllers that I have imported, the white one and the silver one which work fine.
Advantages: nice weight, rumble effect, wireless Disadvantages: batteries need charging after long hours of play. Not supplied with charge cable.

So it's not hard to guess just how pleased i was that Sony had overcome a patent disagreement and managed to release a Dual Shock 3 controller. It has the right amount of weight in it and it doesn't affect the motion sensors in the controller either, it really does feel quite right between your hands.
The New trigger style L2 and R2 buttons remain the same as the Sixaxis but whether or not you like these ... ...of the cable you got with the sixaxis otherwise you'll be stuck for charging it. In saying that, any Small to large USB cable will do really.
This is all in all a big improvement over the Sixaxis Controller and was a good call by Sony to release this ...

I recently bought this controller because i needed another so i could play multiplayer games and i prefer this controller extreamly more than the original sixaxis. the rumble has vastly improved from the days of the dualshock 2 as it isnt as put on. Now it is more natural. I would recommend this controller to anyone as the rumble improves the gaming experiance. also the controller is heavier which makes it feel better in your hands. Well it is obvious that the PS3 controller is an essential to when it comes to playing PS3 games but with the motion sensitivity and the duel shock (rubble) it really does make the controller more than just a button presser. the controller is wireless and holds a lot of power and is really quick to recharge, you don’t need batteries like the Xbox 360s controller and with new R2 and L2 triggers, it makes it better for racing (you don’t have to got ... ...also feels like a gun trigger. The analogue sticks have been improved with a better designed and the arrows buttons are tighter unlike the PS2 controller where they had too much space to hold them. The controller comes with a USB connecter to charge it and the best thing is you can charge will you play. I was dissapointed when they PS3 came out that it did not have a working controller which included vibration. So when i bought one of these when they first came out i was praying that it was worth the extra £10/$15. Overall it creates a much more enjoyable gaming experience, that i think involves you more in the game and helps in those intense moments to bring it all to life. Looking a bit more in to it, you will notice that if you use one that the ... ...lot heavier , 1/4 heavier than the origninal. I personally think that this gives it more feel than the oringinal but that is my opinion. If you want to get one of these controllers i reccomend that you only get one if you have the money or if you need to but an additional controller as the price tag will go down over time, but the other controllers will now go down in price as they will be put in the dark. ...

The Sony Dual Shock 3controller is the official controller of the Sony PS3.
Communicating with the console via wireless, this is definitely the number one controller on the market. Used to control games, DVD's and also as a place to plug pocket sized extensions into, such as a keyboard.

For someone who, I would say has medium sized hands, this controller fits perfectly. The analogue sticks are at the perfect position for my thumbs and all other buttons are easily reachable.

One of my favourite controllers ever! I feel that this is the best controller that Sony could have stuck with and in actual fact they changed the PS3controllers after a couple of months so that they were these wireless controllers.
The buttons are in good places and the controller is neither too big or too small. The shape of the controller allows easy access to the R1, R2, L1 and L2 buttons on the top of the controller.
The shape will also accomodate if you want two fingers on the top instead of just one.
It's dual analog sticks give you an easy way to play many of the games that just would not be possible with the original directional buttons.
Overall i would say that if you have a PS3 do not buy cheap knock-offs, get the real thing!
The tilt sensor makes gameplay fun and even more interesting! ...

when i first got my PS3 it came with the original sixaxis controller, now i believe when you buy a PS3 now the dualshock3 comes as standard.
The dualshock3 now has a different style of material, it is more comfortable and makes your hands not feel as if you have coated them in butter.
The R2 and L2 buttons have also been changed, i have noticed that they have bigger "grooves" which i think is a help to FPS (first person shooter) games. these controllers are also slightly heavier than the sixaxis ones, i prefer this as the controller actually sits firm in the hand.
the analogue sticks are much more sensitive and seem more reliable than the sixaxis' ones, my original sixaxis controllers analogue sticks started to become stiff and squeaky after a few months. so far the dualshock3 is keeping well.
