Advantages: Good features, Easy to use., Looks OK Disadvantages: You may get a duffer.
I have had a Sony Ericsson C903 for 5 days, it was an upgrade from 3. They were really pushing this phone when I contacted them about an upgrade, but to be honest, I am really disappointed with it..
The features look good on paper, 5 megapixel camera with flash, 2.4 inch screen, quite nice design, internet capable etc.
There are however two problems that I have had with this phone.
Firstly, the battery life is extremely poor, ... ...have had a couple of Sony Ericssons before, and always found them to be well made and very solid, but this one feels very poor in comparison.
I am taking the phone back to the 3 shop this week, I am hoping that I have got a 'duffer' and it can be replaced with a better example, if not, and this is just how the C903 is, I will get a different make of phone, I am sure it will not last the 18 months contract.

The features look good on paper, 5 megapixel camera with flash, 2.4 inch screen, quite nice design, internet capable etc. There are however two problems that I have had with this phone. Firstly, the battery life is extremely poor, I have to charge it every day, I know sometimes new batteries can take a couple of charges to get to full capacity, but I don't use it that much for calls, do not have bluetooth turned on, do not surf the web for more that 5 minutes a day, etc, so after 5 days, I would expect the battery to last more than 24 hours on a charge. Secondly, when the slider is opened, it feels very loose, and rattles if touched. This makes the phone seem very cheaply made, and of a very poor quality. UPDATE Although I bought this online from 3, they told me to take it back to the 3 shop in Harrogate to get it replaced.. So I took it back today, only to be told that as I bought it on-line, it was nothing to do with them. I rang 3 from outside the shop, and was told that the information I had been given was incorrect, WHAT.......REALLY!!!. I have a replacement coming on Thursday. However, ANOTHER issue has managed to raise it's head. All the advertising literature for the C903 states that you can view your photos on TV, if you purchase the additional TV-out Cable ITC-60, which, like a complete mug, I bought. I tried watching some photos on the TV today, and guess what.............it doesn't work. I even rang the Sony Ericsson helpline (at 10p per minute), and was told that the C903 is not compatible with this cable. 'But your website................ it says it is' I said. 'I dont care what the website says, it isn't!'........said the man. 'Fabulous!!'.........I thought to my self sarcastically.
I now REALLY REALLY wish I had gone for the Samsung Tocco instead. The MAIN reason I went for this, is that I thought the Sony Ericsson would be higher quality, and better made than the Samsung.........DOH!!!
FURTHER UPDATE I received a replacement C903 on friday. This confirms that the first one I got was a real duffer. The replacement feels much better put together, the slider is not loose and rattly, I charged the new one overnight on friday/saturday, it is now monday afternoon, and there is still plenty of life in the battery. Also the TV-OUT cable, that I was told by a SE employee would not work on the C903, does now work on the new one. Overall, I am now much happier with the C903, I am however very disappointed with SE in general, firstly for sending out a duff phone, and secondly very poorly informed staff, not something you expect from a company asociated with Sony.
Advantages: Looks good, great camera. Disadvantages: Could be bulky for some people, bit expensive
...camera. It has a basic sony ericsson layout menu-wise. You can navigate using the d-pad and soft keys on the front of the phone. Navigating the menu, you can notice the phone is fairly quick to respond, not noticeably slow or fast. There is a pretty cool feature on which you can upload videos straight to youtube from your phone, and there is also a custom youtube viewer on the phone, which is useful if your a big youtuber! Another really cool thing ... ...as i've never had a sony ericsson before, but by clicking a button you can view your phones in a slide-show, selecting a mood to go with it. These moods include 'Harmonious, Relaxing, Nostalgic, Energetic and Joyful'. I was recently on holiday and this feature was ideal for showing mates the holiday pictures. Next thing on the agena is messaging, again nothing outstandingly unique, but there are some cool new emoticons that move. Endless entertainment ...
