Its very hard to find a mobile phone at present that has a great feature without having to compromise with something else. This phone goes against the odds.
I was looking for a phone with the following: - A camera - Ability to use abroad - A decent memory space - A decent screen that can be seen in sunlight - Ability to connect to a computer to print out photos etc.
I had a good shop around for a few days and the Sony Ericcson K310i had all of the above features and more! The second best phone at matching the above criteria I could find for under £100 was the Motorola V3, but that had a tiny 6MB space as opposed to the k310i's 15MB! O and of course V3 was almost double the price.
As well as the features mentioned above, the Sony Ericcson k310i also features the ability to play polyphonic and MP3 ringtones, a small photo editing program, Java gaming, fun and useful Java applications such as a currency converter, face warp and news reader, WAP and GPRS access, complete organiser and easy file manager. Its packed! The battery life is also very high compared to similar priced phones
Even though the camera built into the K310i isn't as advanced as, say the much more expensive phones like the W800i, it is still of a high enough quality to catch those unforgettable moments. It also comes with a VERY handy feature that allows a 0.3 Megapixel photo to be converted into a 0.6 Megapixel photo. The quality of this is great. I keep the camera set to this mode so all my photos are printable to a decent size. The camera also supports video with different levels of digital zoom.
Of course a phone isn't all about the entertainment features! Calling and texting on this phone is a doddle! Simply dial your number in and click the middle of the joystick to phone someone. Couldn't be easier! The phones texting capabilities are also simple with predictive text or options to remove predictive and use ABC mode. You can also send audio and picture messages with this phone. The address book is also easy to use, manage and add to with space to add multiple numbers, email addresses and web addresses to every contact on your list.
Some people may be put off by the joystick control of the menus because it may look fiddly but in fact it is very simple and much quicker to use than simple right, left, up, down keys. So don't let this put you off, its easy!
Well I hope this has helped you in your decision of buying the k310i. All I add is that if you do buy this phone buy the DCU-60 USB cable to allow you to download any files to your computer. You can also create your own ringtones, add new games and add new wallpapers from your computer to your phone! It unleashes a new way of customisation. Try it now!
