When I first came across this phone in the display of a shop window, I thought to myself that looks like a very nice and compact mobile phone. So I went in and checked it out and was assured it was top of the range by the shop assistant. The price was well within my range and I thought £85 was an amazing deal for a phone which appeared to have many great features. As I used it more it became apparent that it wasn't as good as it came across.
The Features on the mobile varied throughout the different areas. When it came to the picture quality, it was brilliant and took a very clear photo. Also when recording using the video function, it gave a great quality video. I found that when taking pictures the screen was also very helpful as I could see a wide area as the screen was a great size. It had other features such as e-mail, GPRS and infrared. I found the Infrared very inefficient as most people had Bluetooth. Also it could be said that when sending files via infrared, the transfer rate was very slow.
One of the things I thought looked most appealing when buying the phone was the built in MP3 player it came with. However, when using the MP3 player, I found out that the memory on the phone could only hold around a couple of songs. The navigation was very poor and it could also be said that it was extremely basic.
The games on the phone were good to a standard I suppose. I fairly enjoyed playing the Tennis and the Darts game. However the other game was basically deleted within the first 2 weeks of buying it. The phone came Java enabled therefore the games were good quality and many features could be added within the games such as high scores and player upgrades etc…
In the phone memory itself, it included a variety of wallpapers and themes. I found that it had many themes I liked and I could often browse through my mobile with an attractive background colour theme added in. The wallpapers were of a good variety and there were many of my liking yet again. However, the ringtones it came with could be said as very basic. They lacked in originality and were just any day phone ringtones. It could be said that you could download your own though from the GPRS function.
The navigation seemed to be very basic and simple, which in a way was good for a number of things such as selecting what you want on the menu. E.g. Text messages or contacts. The stick which was used to select things though tended to stick at times therefore not being able to move in certain directions.
Overall, the phone was good for average features such as text messaging, storing contacts and making phone calls. However, it was not good for the transfer of files or listening to music. I wouldn't recommend you buy this phone if you're looking for a fancy new phone with a variety of features. This just wouldn't be the phone for you.

And what was call reception and signal like? I have a k700i which seems to have loads of memory ~ it also has bluetooth and (although I have yet to succesfully use it) infrared; a 1.3MP camera; I don't like it much for calls and find both keypad and joystick fidly ~ it is also a bit small for holding ~ but you can store lots of contacts, including addresses and company names, on the handset, and when you startup it will back-up any SIM you put in it ~ I also don't use for browsing internet ~ I prefer to browse for free on my 3-phone

Less features are tricky thing coz the providers would encourage everyone to browse or add other features using the GPRS. Nice review. I have my Samsung SGH P300 (like a calculator) and it is more friendly than what you have...

Good detailed review, ad also you feelings on the phone!
Advantages: This phone has great quality pictures and quite a good video quality for its price Disadvantages: The joystick may take a while to get used to, and I have yet to find a way to transfer data from the phone to a computer
