Full review
Another year, another phone. This time, fed up of buying I decided to go on contract, and after looking through the selection on the Virgin website decided on this little beauty which was free on my 12 month contract.

Look & Feel
----------------
The first thing that attracted me to this phone was its cute little looks. Black casing with a large screen and tiny little silver buttons. The blue backlight caught my eye too. Its small compact size was also a bonus as you don't want an unsightly bulge when carrying it about in your pocket and it also means I can hide it well in work!
There are shortcut buttons around most of the phone, and by a press you can be listening to your favourite songs or being a budding photographer. The sliding lens cover at the back is a great idea to protect the camera and also doubles as a short cut to launch the camera.

Range of features
--------------------------
Camera
Being called a 'cybershot' phone I assumed that the phone would have a high quality camera and I was proven right. The 2 megapixel camera, hidden away behind the sliding lens is a little hidden gem; just slide it back to launch it. Just as good as my digital camera in the day time and has a very very bright flash for those night shots. The digital zoom is great for shots further away and gives a nice clear picture in good light. The large screen is great for viewing the pictures in great detail and a zoom option is also available here. There are an array of extra features in addition to the camera such as red-eye removal, timers, frames, lighting levels and much more. Use the application Photo DJ to toggle round with your pictures, adding lightness, text or even a silly moustache.
Video is much the same - very good quality and sound and with a range of effects and things available again and also Video DJ which you can use to edit them.
Pictures can be sent easily to the computer via Bluetooth and a dongle, a usb cable or uploaded onto a blog directly from the phone.

Music Player
Upload or download music onto the phone and play them using this little application, which sorts them into artist and track and even make your own playlists - I use mine for something to listen to in the shower! There is a handy little button on the side of the phone to start this application. The radio is also an option on the phone, using the handsfree earphones as an antenna.

File Manager
Everything you've created, taken or downloaded gets stored in here. This is also where the themes, games and applications live, though unless you've downloaded any, there are very few to choose from.

Messaging
Has all the basic things you'd expect from a phone -inbox, outbox, drafts and templates. The inbox stores around 200 texts and with the large screen shows up 7 lines of text making it so much easier to read your texts in one go. There is not only the option to send the normal Text message here but also picture messages, voice messages and even email (if you can manage to set it up!)

Phonebook
Stores up to 200 contacts on the phone itself with the option of adding picture to the contacts name which will appear when called or texted and also the option to give individual ringtones to each contact.

Ringtones/Wallpapers
There aren't really a large amount on the phone but there are some nice basics on here and there is always the option to use your photos as wallpaper or download more if you want more variety.

In addition to the above the phone has all the normal things you'd expect such as a calendar, calculator, Bluetooth, one pre-set game and alarms, giving me everything I need from my mobile phone. And in addition to its 64MB of memory there is also a slot for a memory card giving you endless space to store your photos and music.

Ease of use
------------------
The phone is simple to use, everything is straightforward and there are even some applications that give you an info button so you can read what they are about. The keypad buttons do take some getting used to as they are so small, but it is not such a problem for someone with small hands like me. The shortcut buttons make the use of the phone so much easier taking you straight to what you want to do. Phone calls are a touch of a button away and reception is normally very good.

Durability & Robustness
-----------------------------------
Although I have had to once send the phone back for repair (due to one too many drops on the floor!), it is quite tough and my replacement has survived its last 6 months of hard floor impacts. The screen still remains unscratched, and generally the only complaint I could make about the durability is that the buttons are covered in some sort of silver paint which has been scratched off in parts due to my long nails.

Battery standby time/ talktime
----------------------------------------
The battery generally lasts me 3 days or so, using the camera, Bluetooth and texting lots daily, which I think is a pretty good length of time.

Value for money
-------------------------
This phone was definitely worth the zero pounds I paid for it! Seriously though, I would be willing to pay up to about £70 for this phone. It's small, good-looking and has everything you could want!

===============

So would I recommend?
DEFINITELY! Through all the phones I've had over the years this is definitely the best. A great all-rounder and with a price tag to match. Get it for as little as £50 from various websites online.

Thanks for reading!
