I'm the kind of guy who test things to destruction, and with this phone i had to do a whole lot of 'testing'. I always buy Ericsson's for their sheer toughness, and ease of use. This phone was no exception. I had this phone for about 2 years, and for about 23 months of that i threw my phone...constantly...on hard surfaces. A couple of scratches here and there, but no damage whatsoever to the phone's functionality.
Features wise, it's got almost everything you (me) would want in a phone, unless you're one of those people who use your phone for everything between checking your facebook to making the coffee. The 2 only downsides are the slightly low quality-ness of the camera, and the lack of expandable memory.
Finally the last 'test' of the old, but still going K700i was done on a golf course, with a 9 iron. You get the picture? 40 yards i'd say, not a very aerodynamic peice of kit. But Wait! The phone was still alive! Fully functioning, with a slightly cracked screen, but still usable.
I would recmend this phone, but A. It's discontnued B. The K750i (IMO the perfect phone, after almost 2 years of experience) is exactly the same, but with expandable memory and a 2MP camera. However that's also Discontinued so i'm getting the K550i.
