I purchased this phone along with the O2 contract around 1.5 years back. I have been using this phone since then. I fell for this model, the first time I looked at it. The price I paid was approximately 35 GBP per month for the O2 250 minutes cross network, I downgraded the price plan to 16 GBP from the 4th month to O2 100 minutes.

Bluetooth wireless technology / Infrared port ************************************************ This is the feature which I liked, I can transfer photos from my mobile to another blue tooth enabled device through bluetooth technology. I also can use the blooth headset along with this when I am driving. Ofcourse the the headset did not come alongwith this set, I had to purchase it separately. It has also got an infrared port. So the pictures etc., can be transferred to a laptop which has infrared. I have tried the bluetooth option but have not tried the infrared option yet.
Synchronising Contacts and Calendar with MS Outlook ************************************************************ The Synch stand is connected to the computer through a USB cable. The Sync stand also had another cable connected to it for charging the battery. The installation of the PC Suite for P800 CD delivered with the P800 contains a set of useful applications to manage the phone and to install applications. You can synchronise your calendar, contacts, tasks from MS-Outlook, Lotus Notes and Lotus Organizer. Whenever I add any new contact on my phone, I can copy/synch it back to my outlook contacts. I get a beep/ reminder when I am due for meetings or when there are some tasks to be done in synch with my computer, so no matter where I am, I know the tasks which I have to perform or the meetings which I have to attend any day.
Digital Camera ***************** The Digital Camera is another handy feature which comes in use, when you want to take a picture of something and you dont have your regular camera around. You can set these pictures as background pictures or they can be added to your contacts in your phone book. I have used this so whenever my friends call up, their picture is displayed on the screen. This is real cool. It shows the number of photos which can be taken when you want to take the photos. You can play video clips on this.
GPRS / WAP enabled ************************ You can connect to the internet to view and access Web and WAP pages. You can download java applications images and audio. The speed is okay, not fast like your computer or dial up, but when you don't have access to internet and have to look at your important messages or mail this is useful. When connected to the sync station and your computer is connected to the internet, you can view the internet pages on the mobile also.
Memory Stick Duo ******************* This provides a convenient way of increasing the storage space in your P800. This is approximately a third of the size and half the weight of a regular sized Memory Stick. I am using a 16MB Memory stick Duo. I have stored a full mp3 song in this, ofcourse you can store photos, files etc.,
Audio Player ************** As I said I have stored my favourite song "Cheri Cheri Lady" in this and I listen to this song whenever I want. It has got a voice memo recorder on this. Its a sterio audio player and sound output is very good. You can download tracks to your P800 from a PC, the internet or Memory Stick Duo and create different folders with tracks.
Games. ********* It has got solitaire, Chess and Five Stones games on it and I normally play solitaire. If you are travelling in the train or bus and getting bored, start playing with this :)
Calculator *********** Its got the normal calculator in this mobile, which seems to be a regular feature in most of the mobile phones.
On the whole I am enjoying using this phone and I am impressed with the design, look and features of this phone. It weights approximately 158 grams but I dont mind the weight of this compared to the features it offers. It combines advanced business and entertainment features in one intuitive device. When the flip is opened you can operate with the stylus with a tap on the screen on the option you want to select, when the flip is closed, you can operate and select the options from the jog dial which is located on the left side of the phone.
The basic features like making a call, or sending messages are simple like any other phone, you just use the jog dial to select your contact and type in the message with the keypad or open the flip and use your stylus to select from the keypad which comes up on the screen. I have stored almost more than 300 contact information with the phone, email and home address etc.,
I seem to have fallen in love with Sony products since I have a Sony laptop, Sony Ericsson P800, Sony walkman, Sony handycam.. :).
