This phone's minimalistic looks are probably one of its strongest points. It is extremely sleek and compact, fits into pockets easily (its dimensions are 99 x 43.5 x 17.7 mm) and is also very light (75g) compared to other similarly sized phones. Appearance This phone's minimalistic looks are probably one of its strongest points. It is extremely sleek and compact, fits into pockets easily (its dimensions are 99 x 43.5 x 17.7 mm) and is also very light (75g) compared to other similarly sized phones. The screen is backlit in blue, which looks quite futuristic, while the keys light up yellow. I have received many compliments on its attactive appearance! When you start up it also has a little animation, which can you replace with your own message... mine used to be ' Greetings, master."! There are not many wallpapers available, but those supplied are mostly quite nice, and if you're feeling artistic you can also draw your own! I have not tried this myself, but i've been told the T100 is compatible with Nokia phones, so you can download backgrounds and ringtones.
Ease of use This was my second phone, and replaced a relic that was 4 years old, so i was not that used to using phones, but I found it remarkably easy to use. The menu is displayed using a tab system, meaning that it is easy to see what options are available. There is not an excessive amount of keys which avoids confusion. There is also a sliding button on the side of the phone that you can use instead of the up & down buttons. You can also program shortcuts for the functions that you use the most often, enabling you to access them quickly from the main menu.
Features A feature that i particualrly like on this phone was the profiles, which allow you to save sets of preferences (ring volume, message tone, calls to divert etc) for differents situations (home, in a meeting etc). It also has all the features you would expect to find such as a calendar, alarms, stopwatch, calculator... The messaging features are good. You can send images, animations and sounds. The phone features predictive typing and you can also save templates for texts that you send often. You can save about 100 names in your phonebook, and about 25 texts, although when your inbox is full it can take a while to access it. The call info is useful, as it allows you to view the calls you have missed, received, and made. You can also see the number of texts you have sent, and how many minutes you have spent calling. There are 5 games although none are particularly good it has to be said! There are also no instructions so the most fun i had with the games was working out how to play them! Some of them are also ridiculously hard... I have yet to find someone who can beat my phone at Wuziqi (the equivalent of connect 4)! You can use WAP on this phone, although i have never tried it myself.
Performance When talking, the battery lasts for up to 3 hours, and lasts about 6 days if you call very little. It also seems fairly tough, i have dropped it quite often (i'm a bit clumsy!) and it still works fine.
So i would recommend this phone to anyone who is not too much of a gadget lover!!
...work or at play, the Sony Ericsson T100 is your statement in style. You can have fun adding pictures to your SMS messages and phone book contacts. Choose and change the look of your display as often as you want. On the move, access the Web to pick the picture or ring signal of your choice for your T100. And change it again when you want. When evening comes and the lights are low, your T100 display gives off a cool blue shimmer and the keys light ... ...reccomend much stronger one of sony ericssons newer phones such as F500i, a great phone (my mums one)
This is an excellent phone packed with features, although could of been improved with a camera and a colour screen.
I have given this phone alot of praise without knowing that much about the phone, well my best mates got it and i use it everyday, but please comment if you have found it any different
Why not go to the sony ericsson site and try ...

Advantages: Nice and lightweight, compact. Disadvantages: Looks a bit cheap !
The T100 is a nice lightweight and compact phone with some nice features but I cant help thinking that the phone is designed at a under 30 market. I found some of the feature very good but the phone has a feel of a teenagers phone !! I found the ringtones to be screeching horrible tones, and after checking on the internet it isnt the easiest of phones to get ringtones for. The phone is priced in the cheaper end of the market at £79.99 sim free in ... ...of them - not at all surprised. I like the phones size and weight and it is very good for just putting in your pocket and forgetting about it type of phone, after having the T100 for just over 2 weeks now I am wondering about the signal strength it seems very low to me, I took it back to the shop and after careful inspection of another handset the other handset was the same ! - so something else to take into consideration there. Features include ...

Having previously owned the T66, I was keen to try the newly polished-up version, the T100. I found it on offer in The Link for £70 on Virgin PAYG.
The size is the same and weight has increased by just a gram, but the overall look and feel are greatly improved. Polished surfaces and 'white' background display bring this model suitably up-to-date.
Compared with more recent designs, the T100 doesn't offer many thrills. No camera, no colour display ... ...choosing a phone this small chances are you just want to keep things simple. Call quality I found to be as clear and crisp as any 'larger' phone and the reception (through the built in antenna) is also excellent.
However, it's not all roses. The menu system suffers from poor design and can sometimes crash. Also, applications run slowly. These faults and difficulties combine to give the T100 a cheap low grade feel which lets down it's otherwise excellent ...

Advantages: Slim, looks good Disadvantages: Slow, poor layout, no games instructions
Sony Ericsson's design team must be the best in the business. People may be swooning over the T610 but even this phone, the T100, has been known to turn heads and get people cooing in approval. But having got noticed, the phone doesn't really deliver anything more appealing than its illuminated orange buttons and vivid blue screen.
It is quite basic, its small monochrome screen unable to give much punch to the paltry array of wallpapers and pictures ... ...and didn't bother.
Overall, I didn't really like this phone at all. For just twenty quid more I bought a marvellous Sagem My-X6 with colour screen, IrDA, camera, and lots more besides. This Sony seems like particularly poor value for money; don't be fooled by its slim, elegant appearance. ...

Advantages: Finally a clamshell offering to rival Samsung. Neat, stylish and interchangeable. Disadvantages: Can be somewhat cumbersome to type and is not as cheap as similar offerings from LG and Samsung, but it will come down in price no doubt
Over the past couple of years I have been playing around with numerous mobile phones as part of the thankless task of trying to find the best one for my professional life. With such an abundance of choice I have always been content with the clamshell phone market which has been predominately controlled by the Samsung and LG. I have previously been more than happy with the offerings of Samsung but having a Sony ?contract? at my place of work I have been forced to take the plunge with a new make and model and I must say, having been impressed with, but not blown away, by the SonyEricssonT100, T600 and T610 I now think I have found the answer in the Z200.
Generally all clamshell phones are on the expensive side and made by a few OEMs. Thus, they all have the same basic look, construction and layout circle around a fixed pattern ...
Advantages: Good battery life, easy to use, hard to break! Disadvantages: picture quality, sound quality.
I recieved my SonyEricsson w810i free on a 12 month contract to T-Mobile, who gave me the phone, 500 texts and 100 minutes for £23 a month.
Positives:
Despite its chunkiness and relative heaviness the phone is very resiliant, and has put up with bad weather and being dropped and stood on repeatedly with only a few marks to show for it.
It also is very simple to use, with everything accessed via a one click menu, the walkman function can be accessed with the push of an orange button and is simplistic enough for anyone to use.
When connected to the PC music video or picture files can be dragged and dropped onto and off the phone with ease, and there is a slot for a memory stick so it can hold as many songs as you'd like.
Battery life is in my experience up to a week on standby, and it very rarely cuts out on you when you ...
