Sony Ericsson V630i

Advantages: everything you need from a phone
Disadvantages: 3g uses alot of power

...good as its competitors and Sony ericsson compatriots which have a 1632x1224 compared to the v630i's 1600x1200. this camera also lacks features such as auto focus and a flash that may be sometimes needed. My brother owns a w810i and the picture quality compared to his is a little poor but for the extra £100 he paid I would rather pay less and have my v630i. ...and instead use a special Sony input, this is ok but kind of is a let down as the headphones do not give the best audio experience and is hard to find replacements with that kind of input. I got this Sony Ericsson V630i when my old K750i decided to give up on me after I had dropped it in the toilet (derr...) I was really happy with the old one, but as they do not manufacture it anymore, I was quite happy to get this much more expensive model as a replacement on the insurance... I believe it retails at about £130, but these days that's hardly relevant, as you can pick phones up for next to nothing when you take out a contract or upgrade. ...

I am using this mobile phone for 7 months and it has fulfilled all my expectations. Especially music and video functions are cool. The only disadvantages are absence of radio and cameras autofocus. With 2GB card this phone is a mobile multimedia center I bring everywhere with me. It has the best price/performance ratio!

...Compared to the previous Sony Ericsson phones that i have owned it is very light to hold. That suited me just fine because i cant stand bulky heavy phones weighing my pockets down. The Sony Ericsson V630i is a really stylish phone, it not only looks good but it also has great functionality and features. Its not bad for a camera phone but its also not that great, the pictures tend to be slightly grainy and the lack of a flash makes night pictures almost impossible. Sony Ericsson you genius you! This phone is simply the best on the market considering it's very reasonable price. It has everything you could want in a phone and more, ranging from video calling, internet access, blue tooth file sharing or even to be able to store all your music or send a simple text! The phone is very similar to the k750i but being a slightly but more expensive you would expect somthing better? wouldn't you? Well you wont ...

It has the extra features of video calling, 3G internet access....etc...etc. but even without these features it would still be a better phone; It looks better, its easier to use, the setup is much nicer, it has a very text friendly keypad, the picture quality is better, a lot more durable (I've dropped mine several times and its fine but the first time my friend dropped his 750 it broke!) and.....get this......IT COMES IN TWO ... ... The Look This Sony Ericsson, is a Candy Bar type phone. Its available in black and white, the screen is ok however you will get it scratched in weeks of use. Camera The 2 Megapixle camera performs like a donkey playing the drums. There is no flash feature and the photos are not that clear without a lot of light. Memory The phone comes with a 256Mb, this gets used quicker then Linford Christie, on a good day. However the option to get a 1Gb memory stick still stands, the internal memory is something to be desired. All in all To be honest I think this phone is for either for business or a quick gift, especially for the 12 year olds, however the phone is vastly becoming out of date, with the launch of the Iphone and the LG Viewtiful... ...This phone is well worth buying but better to get on contract as you can well see by the price it is an amazing phone with built in mp3 player, bluetooth, 2.0 megapixel camera,large internal memory this is definitly phone of the year i have had no problems with mine touch wood as most sony ericssons i have had before have broken quite quickly such as the v630i which tends to turn itself off when it pleases the amazing shake phone (shake and changes song) from own experience is great really something you can show off to your friends a new built in feature called track id is great any song you are listening to play it to your phone and then find out the name of your song. a must buy if youre looking for a new phone but very expensive... ...! It sounds fine on the in-box speakers you get ,and also fantastic on the Sony Ericsson speakers i got with the SE V630i (how fortunate!!). But with pretty much no audible bass - even with the equilizer set to MegaBass - the sound is barely recognisable as a song! Also, this poor excuse for a Walkman phone has no FM radio unlike the rest of the Walkman range. Doesnt bother me personally as I dont like the radio much anyway. But I feel, like many others I'm sure, that radio defiantely belongs on a music phone. THE PICTURES The upside... It has a 2mp camera. Nice high quality camera. Up until recently, 2mp camera's have been at the top end of the new generation of digital camera's with phones attached. But with several phones now with 3/3.2mp cameras, the camera on this phone will be well past its sell by date by the time... Read review
