Sony Ericsson W350i Walkman

Hello and welcome to this review!

Im here today to write about my excellent phone - The Sony Walkman W350i! I bought this 3 months ago from eBay so I have had quite a lot of time to try and test it:) So I will try to make this review as honest and correct as possible.

For the price 39 Pounds!!!!!! This is a FANTASTIC phone

I would happily pay up to 80 Pounds for a phone like this one, it has so many features and is very nice looking.

When I first saw the phone I knew I had to have it! I just had to, i don't know what but something attracted me towards it! maybe its the good looks? or the features? Im unsure.

This phone comes in a very nice box with many bits inside! as it is a walkman phone it even included a little memory card that holds around 40 songs.

And a pile of leaflets!

The box was very well packed and designed by sony making sure everything was held in place, usually when I buy mobiles the parts are scattered throughout the box but this was perfect.

When I opened the phone I realised how nice it was, however I ordered an orange but a purple arrived! Haha oh well:) it'l do I thought.

It is a really great quality Mobile Phone, It does not creak and squeek while on the Phone (Especially Samsungs) The phone looks very stylish and modern with a touch of class, A nice big ish screen, nice keypad like a lot of the sony range. Luckily this one has not got that annoying joystick that the usual sonys have!

The phone itself has two purposes: It can be used as a normal phone ORRRR an MP3 Player ( Walkman )

There is a flap that comes over the keypad and this is where the phone gets its magic from. This flap makes the phone! ----- When the flap is open the phone is a phone ----- When its closed it is an mp3 player with fully operating walkman buttons and a standby phone.
Its wicked!

The phones screen and interface are very nice and easy to use! The screen is very bright and the interface is easy to use as with all Sony phones. When the flap on the front is closed the Walkman interface pops up on the screen and you can choose what songs you want to listen to etc.

The speaker built in the phone is very good, it can sound slightly tinny at times BUT the flap on the front has another use. When you pull the flap to the back of the phone it supports the phone on a hard surface and amplifies the sound! AMAZING!

Now onto the phone itself ( Used as a Phone )

The phone itself is great. Its very easy to text using its keys, they are nicely arranged and very easy to press unlike other phones I have used.

The earpiece can go very loud if you want it to! just use the handy up and down volume keys on the side of the phone, I nearly deafened myself once when I accidently pressed up! I had a bit of a head ache for a while lol.

The phone also has speaker phone, just plonk it down and carry on speaking. However when I use this peopel say that they cannot hear me as clear. Maybe mine is faulty but im not sure:(

The phone has a built in 1.3mp camera, its Okay! its not brilliant but its OKay, its fine if you only take a few snaps now and then when you have not got your propper camera with you. it also has night mode which WORKS!!! I've tested it:)

The phone is very comfortable to hold while on those long conversations. Its also very slim so its easy to pop in your pocket when you are done talking.

The back of the phone is covered in a type of rubber that doesn't look like rubber, Know what I mean:?? But its great! It honestly does NOT scratch, I have droped it on concrete and it aint marked one bit!

The phone has a nice selection of ringtones however I do not like many of them, most of them are too quiet but there are some loud ones if you search around a bit!

The phone has a built in radio, as with all phones the handsfree kit must be plugged in for it to work (As it is used as an aerial) i can definately say the radio is very good indeed. The signal is fab.

Is the battery any good??

YES! I use my phone all the time and I only have to charge it every 3 days. If it was not used much I recon it could easily do a week on one charge.

This phone is on Vodafone, I also use this network but this phone seems to pick up the signal better than all of the other phones I have owned, I can now make calls in places that I could not with my other mobiles. Maybe the network has bucked up their ideas?? Nope I think its the phone:)

MMS Messages are also supported by this phone (MMS messages are picture messages for those of you who don't know) They download very quickly and are displayed nicely on the large (ish) screen.

The one thing I can complain about with this phone is the lack of a video camera! I really thought a great phone like this would include one, but that is the only thing it is missing, Oh well:(
