The phone comes with a stylish shell & with a beautifully finished casing. The handset is available in two elegant colours which include a purple and a magnetic grey colour.
The design of the phone is very stylish and practical as the phone comes with a touch control music keys and music information displayed on the casing of the handset. You can use the controls to play, pause or fast foward the music.
The W380i comes with a very cool key locking feature which is simple to activate and very useful because it allows me to to lock the external keys, so therefore music will not accidentally start playing when the handset is in my handbag.
I think that the Sony Ericsson W380i is a good sized phone it measures 16mm in depth, 49mm in width & 92mm in height which is around a standard size for a phone. The handset is solid without being bulky & heavy which weighs 100 grams including the battery. The battery is very good for this phone; it can last up to 7 hours of talk time & 300 hours of standby battery. The phone comes with 14 Mbytes of internal memory; this wasn't enough for me so I bought a memory card to expand my phones memory capacity so I could put more music on and photos.
This phone is excellent for any music lovers, you can ring take photos and listen to your favourite music, I recently broke my mp4 player and this has really come in handy for listening to music in the tube. There's a radio on this phone which also displays information from the radio station. Has always sonny Ericsson has delivered fun features for yet another great phone which includes Mega Bass, Play Now and TrackID. The Mega Bass these feature allows me to enhance the bass of the music im playing which provides a higher quality sound for me to enjoy. The Play Now feature isn't really necessary, as I don't download ringtones, it is very fast however but something I would use in the future. The TrackID is my favourite fun feature it is a music recognition service which allows me to record a few seconds of a song that I like the sound of and this system will provide me with the name of the song, the artist & the album within seconds.
Advantages: Looks good Disadvantages: Is a bit crap, really!
...to send texts with a lot of screens to click through, although this may just be me - if you are used to sony ericssons you may not find this a problem. All in all, a cute phone with clever features. Better for looks than substance though. ...

...too! This is my fourth Sony erricson phone; and the fourth one that has broken within weeks of me owning it. Why, you may ask do I keep buying phones from the brand if the wares are of a poor quality, beats me but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with the fact that they always make their phones so aesthetically pleasing, they look good, and sound very technologically sophisticated, as well as most models having extremely 'unique' gimmicky features ... ...most popular feature of the Sony erricson Walkman range, a nice loud speaker for playing your music out of (if you like that sort of thing!). The color is deep purple, with a lovely two tone finish to it, which would appeal to any fashion conscious teens out there; especially as it comes with matching colored headphones! My overall opinion is that this is a good, if perhaps slightly overpriced phone for teen girls; but that it feels a little like ...

Advantages: Looks good, reliable and nice size Disadvantages: Camera isn't great and walkman is difficult to work.
The W380i is one of Sony Ericsson's Walkman phones although I must admit that had nothing to do with the reason I bought it and I have never actually used this feature.
I chose the phone as it is a clam-shell style, which suits me as I feel the screen and buttons are much better protected and because it was available on Tesco Mobile PAYG for £79.99. The fact that mine is dark purple with pink accents and is super slim and stylish was a bonus.
The ... ...slim (about 1.5cm) and flat (about 9 x 4.5cm) and not so small that it gets lost easily in a handbag. The phone is easy to use for the address book, phone calls and texts which is what I mainly use it for. It also has a 1.3 megapixel camera which is very good at taking photos outside in good light and manages a fairly decent photo inside in good light but doesn't have a flash, just a night mode so if the light is not very bright the picture is terrible. ...

This is quite a cool phone to own at first because of the unique screen on the front and the music buttons on the outside of the phone that will amaze your friends for hours on end but this is more or less where the good things about this phone begin and end.
The back off the phone likes to pop out easily, and no I'm not talking about the part that open so you can put the battery and sim in like most phones, I mean the actual back of the phone which ... ...walkman phone, the sound quality doesn't last very long and the volume button ceases to work after a coupple of months so you can't really hear your musics unless you put in headphones which improves the sound quality by a minimal amount.
Furthermore, the camera is not good on th ephone at all. Fair enough before buying the phone you should realise that it is only 1.3 megapixels but this alone cannot, or should not, account for the poor quality ...

Having needing to get a new phone, I did a bit of research into what products SonyEricsson have out on O2 at the moment. I narrowed it down to the W380i and the W910i and (after much deliberation) settled with the W910i.
My first impressions was that the handset was very light compared to my old K700i. It's width (50 mm) and height (99.5 mm) are larger, but as the thickness is less (12.5 mm), it doesn't feel that much bigger in my pocket. A great advantage of the W910i being a little wider is that it comes with a 2.5" screen which is great for viewing your snaps taken with the 2 MP camera. The camera's quality is decent enough but you wouldn't be able to blow any images up to a great size if printing. There is also a decent video recorder and a second camera on the front above the screen for making 3G video calls.
