I had never had a sony ericsson before and some how i got the impression that they would have been complicated to use. How wrong I was!! Being strictly a nokia buyer in the past i had felt a little aprehensive about this purchase. I got the phone for around 150 pounds in Argos which was a special deal on pay as you talk vodafone.
I was surprised at the slim body of the phone as sony ericssons in the past have been chunky. It fits very nice in the hand and looks very smart .The phone came in a really smart little red box like a cube with software for the computer,a cable, instructions, headphones and charger. I couldn't wait to use my new purchase so i plugged it in for charge and turnt it on and it already had half a battery which was a very nice thing if you want your new phone straight away.
You have to get used to the buttons because they are a bit stiff at first. The little orange number buttons are also a bit weird when you first touch them but you get used to them aswell. Can be annoying for texting at first.
The phone itself is really good being a walkman phone if you like your music. The music player is very good and has its own button to quickly access it. With that same button you can also press and hold it whilst on the music player and shake to shuffle and change your track. This may make you look a bit weird when your out and about but it is a very clever thing to have.
Also if you like to listen to the radio and you hear a lot of songs but cant remember their names when you want to download them later on you can use a thing on it called 'track id' and it takes a sample of the song you are listening to and goes on the internet to match it with the title and artist. You can also use this feature when listening to music out loud. I have tested this with a number of songs and it got them all right!!
The phone has a fitness feature and pedometer in it which i love and it counts your steps and how many miles you've walked. There is also a feature if you do a lot of running and it mesures how many calories you burn and your speeds etc.
The camera is very clear but you can only use zoom on certain modes and there is games already on the phone including the sims!
It vibrates very quietly compared to my other phones which is good for the silent mode.
I would recommend this phone to anyone considering getting an ipod and a phone as this is very good for music aswell as communication and any extras. If you listen to music every day on the way to college/ work it is very handy althoght you may look weird on the bus shaking your phone! Quite pricey but worth it if you are going to use all the fuctions!
