I have had my Sony Ericsson W580i for around 1 and a half years now, after receiving it as a gift from my parents two Christmases ago. The version of the W580i varied to the dark grey and blue one stated in the picture, and was instead a white and orange version, which was bought on a pay and go tariff on o2. I was in desperate need of a new mobile and picked the W580i from the Carphone Warehouse catalogue, as it was aesthetically pleasing and had many advantages over my current mobile; 2mp. Camera, a 512mb memory card, and the new format were also appealing to me. When i first got the phone, i noticed that many of my friends and others i knew had also received the W580i for Christmas - proving it was a popular choice! 17 months on and I’m still using the mobile... Although it is beginning to get a bit dilapidated - possibly due to me being careless with it. Problems i am now being to notice with the phone are; cracked buttons, worn outer shell, and the cover at the back has a gap in it. Others who have used this phone discovered that it got badly damaged through just using it after only several months - in fact everyone else i know moved on and bought a new phone after only a few months of using the W580i. But my experience of the W580i has very little complaints, and i am only now beginning to contemplate a new mobile as i am becoming rather fond of the new touch screen mobiles... But anyone who is considering the Sony Ericsson; i say go for it!

Advantages: Appearance, Walkman Player, Quite Cheap for a phone with this many features. Disadvantages: Cracked Buttons, Low Quality Camera, Screen Problem
