I purchased this phone about 4 months ago and it still feels new. It cost me around £130 and came with a sim card and £10 free credit on orange. I will try to make my review as breif as possible so only the relevant information is included. Firstly:
LOOK AND FEEL: The phone has a sleek design with the walkman symbol on the front face. the screen size is good and the volume and camera buttons on the side of the phone are minimalist. At the top right corner at the rear of the phone is the 3.2 megapixel camera and the battery cover. The phone slides smoothly revealing the keypad. Even after 4 months the slider works with the same smoothness. colours are pleasing and are used in the right place. (such as the walkman sign, play and pause buttons, rewind and forward buttons and to outline the keys on the keypad)
DURABILITY AND ROBUSTNESS: The outer case of the phone is all plastic except for the back of the phone behind the slider which comes in metal in the colour scheme selected. When the slider is closed the phone feels quite durable, it has been through a few falls and it has no damage so far. The plastic case has one big advantage, scratches are hard to come by.
BATTERY STANDBY TIME: Unlike my previous phones, this phone has a relatively good standby time. When used mainly for texting or surfing the internet, the battery lasts me about 4-5 days. when used for calls and taking pictures and videos, the battery lasts about 2 days.
VALUE FOR MONEY: I find this phone worth the money as it is cheaper than other phones with the same range of features.
RANGE OF FEATURES: firstly, my favorite, the walkman. the phone has the standard walkman music player and a walkman button on the side of the phone. The player is very easy to use and produces crisp, clear sound. The speakers are good, loud enough and they dont crackle at high volumes. The heaphones that come with the phone give good bass. Secondly, the motion sensor. It is a very nice feature and has many uses, mainly for games. One feature which is particularly interesting is the Walkmate application. This application uses the motion sensor to count an average of the number of steps youve walked a day and displays them on a chart. The camera is excellent and gives pictures with high resolution. Other than that are the standard features included in most sony ericssons such as text messaging, calendar, flie manager etc
Overall i would rate this phone 4/5 for its good range of features, excellent music player, good battery life and value for money.
