I had previously owned a Sony Ericsson phone, and hated it. I'm not sure why but I did. When my contract expired, I rang my network and asked what phones were currently available within my budget. I explained that there was No Way that I would Ever have another Sony Ericsson. To cut a long story (and phone call) short...I ended up ordering the Sony Ericsson W610i as it had the better battery life. I figured that as a mobile was originally intended for emergencies and so on, a longer battery life was of greater importance than brand.
I have had this phone since April now, and I love it! Really love it! It's a stylish and funky looking phone, with a lovely slim build. This phone has fitted into the tightest of my pants pockets with no problems. A feature that I also really like it the ability to attach looped items, such as holders or 'mobile accessories' to the bottom corner of the phone. You may be wondering why I find this feature so wonderful? Well, I lose things a lot, so I love being able to attatch a loop to my mobile, attach that loop to a carabiner and then clip that to a belt loop. Easy access to my phone, without worrying about losing it on a night out or running for a bus.
Photographs I have taken have been of pretty good quality from the 2.0 megapixels lens. I also really like that pictures/ videos can be sent as an email, to a blog, via bluetooth or via infrared directly from my phone amongst other things.
The Walkman aspect of the phone is impressive. Listening to music through my phone is as enjoyable as listening to music on my PC or CD player. The speakerphone aspect means that music can be listened to by a group of friends (so long as nobody minds!). I've a lot a songs on my phone and still plenty of space.
There are 2 features I haven't yet used on my phone. The first is TrackID - as my contract charges for this feature. The second is the Flight mode, as soon as I leave the airport in the UK, my phone is switched off until I land back on home soil.
The only part of this phone that could be improved would be slightly larger buttons. As pretty as the sleek, metallic buttons look they are not always comfortable on the fingertips and it is easy to make typos.
I'm sure there is much more to be said about this little phone, but the above covers my daily, personal experience.
Overall: Good looking phone. Durable when dropped. Has all the modern conveniences of every other mobile. Good battery life QUICK recharge. Doesn't have the problems my old Sony Ericsson did. Would recommend to anyone.
