Advantages: Sleek and ease of use. Disadvantages: Flash is a bit on te lower end
...I just got this wonderful piece of Sony from my friend. It is a wonderful piece and I love the way it fits into our hands. It has got a wonderful lens and it is pretty powerful. Pictures taken by it are wonderful and the quality is simply superb.
One thing I found that is not good in this piece is the flash, especially comparing with the canon A95 model and the other cybershots itself. But I think for a naive user it seems to be OK.
And the usual sony fundas - No interoperability. memory card should be of sony and all those stuff!! And man!! sony stuffs are costly!!!
Overall good product except for its accessories price and interoperability. But a good piece to have in case you are just a begginer.

...Sony digital camera is an excellent camera to take pictures with. I have not got any knowledge to take any pictures. Many of my friends recommended sony digital camera to me. The moment I started using it, I was so thrilled by the result. The quality of pictures is as good as the normal ones. Sony DSC-P51 is very compact and easy to carry. It is not heavy either. It is a durable and reliable camera I have ever seen. Infact there is nothing to complain against it. Although it is a bit more expensive than the other brands, you will soon realise that it is worth spending money on it. I would recommend this digital camera to anybody including beginners like me....

...Alot of people buy sony because its sony. well sony cameras or anthing for that matter are over priced considerably!
i suggest to anybody looking for a millionpixel camera to look at other makes such as minolta or konica or samsung.
you will get better value for money with these other camera manufacturers and generally these cameras are easier to use.
i suggest if you are looking for a equivalent camera to look at the minolta f300 with the three times optical zoom and 5 million pixels.
if you are looking for a digital camera another suggestion i have is to go to a independant CAMERA shop not dixons curry's pcworld or any big retail outlet.
please trust my opinon i work in one of these small camera shops and our aim is best value for the customer....
