Sony FWD-50 PX2

Advantages: Clean, Elegant and good quality picture
Disadvantages: screen is reflective

Strengths: Clean, elegant look, beautiful picture, intuitive onscreen display Weaknesses: None except screen is quite reflective of daylight through window from behind viewer Summary: (Edited February 13th by awolpe) Was looking to purchase the highly touted and widely reviewed Panasonic 50PHD8UK, but these were back-ordered and I went with this one instead, being told by a dealer that he had viewed the picture of this set side-by-side with the Panasonic and that the Sony was as good if not better. The Sony has the advantage of built-in HDCP compliant DVI, whereas a separate board must be purchased with the Panasonic. I have not seen the Panasonic, but the DVI display on the Sony is amazing. sony plasma

Advantages: nano technology enables you to view your favorite TV shows in the hightest definition around !
Disadvantages: colour range

if you dont allready own this product you should buy one , it is the centre peice of my home and it looks and sound great with or without the additional home cinema system. if you own this product and did not opt to buy the sony cinema system(extra) thendont pannic, you can hook up any make of sound/cinema system from any high street store, as long as the connectors are the same then it is comletely compatable. if you are looking for a state of the art technology or simply a good HD PLASMA TV then this is the perfect for you. you cant afford it? dont worry, providing you have a good credit status you could apply for financ. finance on this product usually means that you are contracted to pay back a certain amount of cash (monthly) to the finance loaner. ...

Review of Sony FWD-50 PX 2

You HAVE to see this TV.

Advantages: Looks cool, pictures great.
Disadvantages: NONE so far.

BACKGROUND I was in dismay; smoke was bellowing from my television, as I stood with the remote in my hand. My television had just given up, after only about two years of service - check the review here http://www.ciao.co.uk/SamsungWS32W8VDReview5491720 - my warranty had ran out and it was time for me to get a new one. I looked on the bright side; at least now I would finally be able to get a HD TV I had been hearing so much about. OVERVIEW After a trip down to my local electronics shop I decided on the Sony FWD-42PV1/S - 42" plasma panel - almost completely on looks alone. I'm a sucker for a pretty device, and this is A PRETTY device. It set me back about £750 including a two-year warranty, but it had a much larger screen than my old TV and since it was also HD I was excited when I brought it home. Admittedly I didn't have ...
