The memory card, one of the most important pieces of equipment that you will need for PS2 gaming. Without it, you will find it very hard to play games from beginning to end, in fact, impossible to play games from beginning to end, (unless you left your console on for the duration it took you to complete the game)! I really tried hard to find info for this review, but found it quite hard, so I hope you enjoy this (rather short) review!
Looks The memory card is a very small and handy piece of equipment. It is 4cm wide and 5.5cm long. The main colour theme of the card is black, with white and blue writing on it. Although there are now new colours available to buy, as shown in the Ciao picture. It depends on whether you like the traditional colour of the memory card or the newer, more colourful version of the memory card. It is entirely up to you, whatever colour you decide to go for, you will still get the same performance!
Weight Just in case you were interested, the memory card weighs 12 grams!
Plugging the memory cards into your console To plug your memory cards into your console, you have to make sure you are putting the hollow end with the pins into your console, (not the solid end, or else you will be kind of stuck)!!! You push it against the flap of the memory card slot and the flap will lift up, and you can continue to push the plug into the console. After you push it in far enough, you will feel a slight click, (though there is no noise made), and this means that the card is now connected to your console! After you have done this, you are able to store data onto your memory card!!
Viewing items on your memory cards To view items on your memory card, you make sure that one is plugged into your console, and click on browser. Here you can click on which memory card you would like to look at, and then you can look at the things you have stored on it. Then you can see how much data each one holds, and you can copy them to another memory card you have, or delete some items you have stored on it.
Technical Stuff The standard memory size for the memory card is 8MB. This is quite a reasonable size if you are an average player. But if you really like playing on your PS2, and rarely delete your files that are saved onto you memory card, it might be a better idea to think about buying a larger sized memory card. I have bought a 32MB memory card, and it will last me for ages!!!! It is not made by Sony, but Sony have made larger sized memory cards!

Overall The memory card is a vital piece of equipment. Without it, your gaming experience will be very poor. In my opinion, Sony should give you one of these with the console, because without it, you will not enjoy it as much. But once you have one, you will be able to save all the data that you want, (well, up to 8MB), and will make your gaming experience so much better!!!!!!!!!!
