After doing some serious looking at other monitors on the market by visiting various stores around my area, I found the Sony GDM-500PS. I wanted the F500, but who the heck wants to pay £900 for a monitor?
People have some complaints about the text. It seems this is on a per-monitor basis as I found mine to be extremely crisp, but a friend's to be a little fuzzy. The monitor is touchy around magnetic fields as all are, but it seems it is a little more on the sensitive side.
The controls are nice and the colour and contrast are just brilliant. I say with any monitor you are going to buy, go out and look at them yourself. Abuse them and see what fills your needs.
The monitor gave me absolutely brilliant graphics and text, the only thing I did not like about the monitor was the price at around £600 it cost a lot of money :o)
I can also report that the monitor was easy to install and the support was excellent.
An all round excellent monitor..
