i've owned this monitor for 2 and a half years now and although i bought it for more than 450.00 pounds (was a very good price at the time!!!), you'll probably found it at around 300.00 or 250.00 by now. anyway the monitor is very well made the image is clear and steady, and the refresh rates are up to speed (75 Hz at 1600/1200 the graphic card not beeing the limitations).
what can i say sony's knowhow in monitors is visible in the making ... ...thing hasn't had a single problem!! and it's well made, the design is clean and can go "about" anywhere and one usefull feature that will appeal to laptop users is the second VGA plug at the front of the monitor, so you can work with your laptop confortably (never got used to those small screens).

i should say i don't own a TV (can afford to invest in one) so i use this monitor for just about every thing you would normaly do with your TV, watch the news (TV card installed in the my computer), watch DVDs and, play games, and maybe even work a bit (you really enjoy the size of the thing while working, really having all your windows open and being able to see them all is very usefull!!!). and this screen got through all that without me ever complainning about anyglare (just turned down the contrast a bit when i was tired but all screen kinda do that...)
all in all it's a really good screen that i don't regret buying!
