Advantages: Free Online Gaming, Full Web internet access, full HDMI gaming. Disadvantages: Maybe doesn't boast as many online games as the xbox 360.
I recently brought myself a PS3 Slim 120GB console after being a XBOX 360 Elite owner for over 2 years. The attractiveness of this console and all the little extras it has makes it far superior in my opinion. The fact this console has a Blu-ray system built in makes it better but the graphics, picture resolutions and sound quality's are amazing. This console boasts a wide range of games plus blu ray capability. I was also unaware until i set my ps3 up that it had full Internet accessibility and a BBC iPlayer also available for free.
Free built in wireless access to your home broadband.
The system will run in full 1080p or i HDMI, 2 USB ports and the ability to upload photo's or music to the massive 120GB hard drive.
The PS3 also has a free online store where you can purchase online arcade games, themes for your playstation homepage ...
Advantages: Excellent video and stills quality, Large 3.2-inch panoramic screen, Sufficient manual controls Disadvantages: No wind filter, No HDI cable supplied
I managed to get one of these on test and I must say it was an excellent piece of kit.
The picture quality of the video was excellent and so was the performance, as for the still photos, very impressive for a camcorder.
There are also sufficient manual settings, so if you’re like me you'll have plenty to play around with. However, you will have to use the 3.2-inch touch screen to get to some important functions, which can be an annoying way to use a camcorder.
The high capacity HDD allow you to save hours upon hours of full 1080 HD video
The large 3.2 - panoramic screen is of good size but the screen is still fingerprint prone. The fingerprints can be distracting at times when recording.
If you're in the market for a hard-drive-based high-definition camcorder, you won't go wrong with one of these Sonys. If 120GB is ...
Advantages: Processor speed, storage capacity, came with XP-downgrade option Disadvantages: Poor build quality!
I had a choice between buying a Dell or a Sony because they're the only two companies that seemed to offer an XP downgrade option. I needed XP because I use/work with Oracle applications on a daily basis. A laptop is a tool of trade for me and I couldn't care less about all the frivolous features that come with laptops these days. I don't "game". I just want a computer that will run 10-12 hours a day continually and reliably so that I can earn my money.
I went for the Vaio because I'd been using one for the previous 4 years with little trouble, apart from some occasional flickering and semi-permanent dullness of the monitor. That one was made in Japan. This new one comes from China. The first day I had it, two of the keys fell off for no apparent reason. No big problem. I put them back on again. Its actually easy to rip the outside ...

Manufacturer's product description
A technological breakthrough for data backup, collection and archiving, the DTF (Digital Tape Format) Tape Drive and Data Cassette was developed by Sony in 1995 as an Information Archival Solution. The DTF Digital Data Cartridge has been recognized as the international ISO/IEC 15731 standard format for use in 1/2-inch DTF (Digital Tape Format) drives.Metal tape technology, with its excellent reputation earned and recognized at broadcast stations around the world, has been applied to the world of data storage to answer demands for speed and capacity. DTF utilizes this metal tape technology and therefore is a highly reliable data cartridge that has been refined and perfected based on the needs of demanding professionals.Just one data cartridge makes it possible to record 12GB of uncompressed data on a GW-240S. Sony's GY-2120 Drive achieves a super fast data transfer rate of 12MB/second, and the ALDC (Adaptive Lossless Data Compression) technology makes possible a maximum of more than 100GB of recorded data. The GW Tape has been designed with magnetic stability in mind. Employing Sony's unique HDA (High-Density Alloy) magnetic particles together with an extremely fine and uniform surface protective layer, the DTF possesses outstanding archival characteristics.High density packing of ultra-fine magnetic particles, combined with the most suitable calendering (compression and heat-added) treatment to produce an extremely smooth surface, has resulted in tapes with the potential for extremely high output and low error rates.A high performance lubricant protects the tape surface, thereby controlling the friction index and maintaining optimum tape-to-head contact. Also, an increase in the cross-linkage of the binder further strengthens the magnetic layer and maintains a low error rate even with repeated use. In addition, production technology that minimizes tape shrinkage reduces tape deformation over time, and as such high precise stable tracking is maintained over long periods.
