Advantages: Powerful, rugged design, discreet sattelites Disadvantages: Remote is very cluttered, tricky to operate initially.
I picked my one of these up at Argos about 2 years ago, and paid £350 for it. At the time, I was looking to ensure I had the best sound set up of all my mates, and this Pro-Logic 2 setup was exactly what I wanted. I paid my money, took it home, and started tinkering.
Out of the box, the unit is simple enough to wire up; everything is clearly labeled, so you'd need to be retarded to struggle on that front. The problems occur once you've got it plumbed in, and turned it all on. The remote control, I imagine, is capable of launching Beagle space probes, with it's 50+ buttons, each with up to three different sub-functions. What Sony have done here is to save money by using the same remote for several different products. Many of the features are redundant, and it's hard just to find volume up/down in a hurry.

Advantages: Great camera, nice looking, loads of features and great value for money! Disadvantages: The annoying internet button (if with T-Mobile)
Personally I think this phone is brilliant! The camera is great - I often just use that instead of taking a separate digital camera, there is the option to use a memory card, so there's as much memory as you could need, there's nifty free downloads on the Sony Ericsson website including themes which are cool for jazzing the phone up a bit! and for free!
Whilst using my phone, a lot of people have noticed how easy it is to text given the size of the buttons - not too big, not too small!
The games aren't amazing, but perfectly good enough for when there's really nothing else to do...! The amount of features that come with the camera (because it is a cybershot phone) is amazing! And much easier to use than most normal digital cameras!
I've dropped the phone more times than I could count, smashed it, dropped it in water etc, and I ...
Advantages: Strong and robust, with a great range of quality features and battery life. Disadvantages: Aside from the bulky design, the lense cover for the camera can cause minor annoyance
If you're looking for a strong and robust phone, with a range of good quality features the K800i is just for you.
I picked up this model whilst in desperate need of a new phone, after breaking my previous Ericsson, and on the recommendation of my girlfriend. The phone at the time of purchase (August 2008) cost around £60.
Upon first impressions I was unsure about the relatively bulky nature of the model, but had decided to purchase it regardless of this out of pure necessity. Whilst the model had previously been rather stylish upon release, at the time of purchase it was beginning to look increasingly out of date. Yet whilst the appearance of the phone did little to impress me, the quality of features, and the ease with which it can be used, coupled with impressive overall reliability have won me over to the K800i.
The phone is ...
