************COLOUR*********** The colour is pretty similar to most - Silver & Black. But I do think it looks very well and quite classy.
************COST*********** On-line you can get this for £269.99 there are lots of dealers with prices around this, so don't pay any more as its really not necessary.
************GUARANTEE************ I must say I am more than happy with the guarantee that comes with this product. You get 3 Years Guarantee with this item which certainly to me is super.
*************FEATURES*********** I have to say that I love the fact that the Sony DCR-DVD109E Handycam has a powerful zoom and records directly on to 8cm DVD's. This is brilliant for keeping all those special moments easily stored. No more spending time downloading to store. It's memory bank is very good as well and stores nearly two hours of top-notch images and 5.1ch surround sound on 8cm DVD's. As with all Sony DVD Handycams it comes with the ‘shoot-eject-play’ convenience of direct playback on a standard DVD player. The Sony DVD109E camcorder is battery operated and has a fantastic single charge length. It has the capacity of 9 hours continuous recording from 1 charge. SUPER !!! Another area that I like with this handycam is the fact that it comes with the addition of DVD+R DL (Dual-Layer) recording. This means that it can record for upto 110 minutes. This is a major improvment as previously the record time was 60 mins!!!! Unlike some DVD Camcorders the DVD109E is compatible with a wide range of DVD formats including DVD-R/+RW/-RW (so no more worrying in the shop if you are buying the right DVD).
*************OPTICAL ZOOM*********** This camcorder offers an unbelievable 40x Optical Zoom range and also the wide angle performance is superb. A point I must say about is the fact that low light shooting is enhanced greatly with a new Auto Slow Shutter function that automatically enhances the handycams sensitivity to achieve improved minimum illumination performance.
***************PICTURE & SOUND********** I must say that the picture and sound quality are superb. This is largely due to the Dolby Digital 5.1 surround sound recording which is featured on this handycam. Also there is the Carl Zeiss optics for better resolution and contrast.
************EASE OF USE************ This is definately much easier and more convenient to use than any other model I have used before. It does include a Colour Viewfinder for framing and reviewing shots. Also I do like the fact that the additional Record Start/Stop and zoom buttons are on the border of the camcorder’s flip-out LCD screen. Another plus is that the Home menu and Help function are on the LCD touch screen.

**************ACCESSORIES********** There are loads of accessories you can buy to go with this handycam like lenses or microphones, carry cases, high-power batteries and tripods. Obviously these are extra. They are great to have but by no means a necessity !!!!
**************OVERALL************ This is a very pleasing product. It is an easy to use DVD Handycam with Carl Zeiss lens, lovely compact design and a powerful 40x optical zoom. The LCD screen is a descent 2.5" touch panel size and it has the 5.1 channel surround sound creator. All in all a very pleasing product.
