I got one of these cams for christmas ,didnt know much about them , but it didnt take long to learn i like the touch screen panel and the fact that it is lightweight it can be used as a digital camera it has 2.5 lcd panel which can swivel which enables uto watch play back it also came with a remote control which was handy also comes with cable to link the cam to the computer which allows to transfer recording to dvd .i am not going to compare it to other cams as this is my first one but from a novices point of veiw i would recommend it because of how quickly i learned to use it
