my first camcorder
First of all I brought the camcorder to take on holiday to Egypt, Ive never had a camcorder before so I was weary of how to use them, however I wanted one that was easy to use with loads of memory as I was going away for 2 weeks, I wanted it to be very compact and lightweight too.

Carl Zeiss lens, with lens shutter (best lens makers for digital equipment)
If filming night, evening or indoor shots purchase a flashlight for the top.
Purchase an extra battery (very small about the same size as a small packet of matches)
Purchase a plastic cover that the camcoder can sit in protecting it from water and dust (sony website state that the case enables the camcorder to be used under water but i havnt tryed it, probably wouldn't recommed, just incase !)
Conclusion
As I stated I wanted one that was easy to use. It was soo simple I didnt even need to look at the manual. From my experience its a brilliant camcorder cant fault it. Will be sure to make DVDs of all future holidays and daytrips. For the price difference of a 30GB to a 60GB you may as well get a 60GB.
