...If you want a camcorder for an ormnament, or to sit in a box then this is the one to get.
If you want a camcorde that you can grab when something unexpected happens - then give the Sony a miss
I purchased the similar SR33E which seems to have been sold only By Currys, and since purchase have never been able to use it as the battery drains within 1-2 weeks.
I returned it to the store and it was sent off for repair but came back with exactly the same fault. It is now over 2 weeks...

Advantages: very easy to use, records over 7 hrs on to hard drive, Disadvantages: you need a dvd burner
...Firstly I am not going to quote all the technically stuff - so if you need all those details it would be best to go to the Sony website.
This camcorder is exactly what I require - its light and compact it can record about 7 hours video and 9999 photos.
Its very easy to use - simply by flicking the dial to move between shooting video, taking photos and viewing your videos and photos.
The photos are an excellent quality 3 mega pixels - and you could not tell the difference from those taken on my Sony P150 (which has 7 mega pixels) As the camcorder is so light and compact it is easy to carry it round and get it out to take some photos.
Taking video is easy too - all the buttons seem to be I logical places when you get the hang of it. They are lots of settings to mess around with you are so inclined (like my husband) or (like...

...*Introduction*
My Dad bought this SonyHandycam a while ago now. It has come in very handy for a number of things, everything from recording family occasions to some of my school projects. We have also let friends borrow the camera to record their parties and take abroad with them. Everyone who has used it has said it is a wonderful video camera and that they would definetly consider buying one, or something fairly similar, of their own in the future.
I will be honest with you the reader and declare that my knowledge and know-how when it comes to video recorders/camcorders is very limited. If you give me any other electronics product and ask me to use it or tell you about it, I won't have too many problems. I will do my best to show the good points (and bad if there are any) about this SonyHandycam. Please bear with me when...
