...I got my sony camera for my birthday and what a present it was with its camcorder featuring a 3 Megapixel CCD with Primary colour filter and the Carl Zeiss Vario-Sonnar T* lens system to realise maximum light and colour sensitivity as well as precise capture of moving images. Thanks to the CCD technology, the SonyDCR-HC90E is capable of shooting not only video but also still images with 3 Megapixel quality. The SonyDCR-HC90EHandycam is always ready to record in true 16:9 widescreen.It really is a cracking camera, great to take on holiday or for those special occassions you want to remember... In conclusion a great product with many more advantages than disadvantages but at a very expensive £330 or so may stretch some budgets to the limit!...

Advantages: lightweight easy to use Disadvantages: battery life price
...I would like to say that having bought previos sony products that I was not entirely happy with this item. Although there are a lot of good features it is not really as good as products from other manufacturers in this price range. It is fairly easy to use but can be awkward, It is quite bulky compared to previous camcorders and for the price I don't feel value for money. On the plus side the recording quality is very good and the picture quality is as good as it gets. The sound quality is about average. Having said that the playback quality is excellent. I feel that on balance this product is overpriced. I would not recccomend this item....

...the sonydcr - trv130 is a great video camera for the beginer and profesional its extreamly easy to use and has real build quality and a smart clean appearance it use`s a digital 8 video 8 cassette type tape which is loaded in the top section under an hidden panel which flips up it has a 2 1/2 " lcd screen and can also be used with the built in view finder it is a smart design as always from sony with 560 x digital zoom night vision and super night vision with built in light which makes this a versitile camcorder this camcorder can also take photo`s and can also be mounted on a tripod for a steadier clear picture and with its easy to use remote control is the most effort less camcorder to use...
