Advantages Advantages style, price, pictures and videos, HD quality

Disadvantages Disadvantages A bit light feels a bit like can damage easily

Having just had our first child I wanted to catch everyone like any proud dad would so I wanted to purchase a camcorder, looking around the choice is astounding the range and functionality is astounding as well as the price range.Due to these facts I figured you have to do your homework on these to get exactly what you want, My needs were in fact basic, a good crisp home video that i can upload to my pc , copy to dvd and save on hard drives via the usb cable supplied. The ability to take pictures and do the same storage wise, I wasn't so much bothered about the fantastic zoom rates like x 800 ... more

Advantages Advantages Great quality, very light, looks good!

Disadvantages Disadvantages Reliability issues?, accessories are expensive, no onboard storage

I bought my Sony camcorder in February 2011 in preparation for my wife giving birth, first impression were very good. Camera was smaller than I expected it to be and even with the battery was very light weight. Theres no onboard storage so you will need to buy an SD card. The camera can record 24mbs so you will probably need a class 10 SD card (although each SD has a different transfer speed). The picture quality even on our first initial short movie were fantastic, going from a light room to a dark the camera adapted very quickly. I expected the quality to be very good (it's how I sold the ... more

Advantages Advantages Great picture quility, easy menu navigation, great zoom

Disadvantages Disadvantages Suffers in low light, tricky manuel controls

This Sony handy cam is a fantastic camera, the interface is really easy to use. I think the touch screen is really responsive which makes it easy to navigate menus. The picture quality is exceptional although I tend to find it suffers in low light situations. The picture is crystal clear when there is a good amount of light, and the quality doesn't drop to much when you zoom in giving a great amount of details for close ups. There is very little in terms of progressive scan shooting. The manual focus and exposure can be tricky to operate as they are controlled via the touch screen. The face ... more

Advantages Advantages lightweight, small, picture qality in daytime, active steadyshot

Disadvantages Disadvantages picture quality in low light, slow autofocus (low light), poor autofocusing on picture sides

I bought camcorder Sony HDR CX115 more than three months ago. First impression was fantastic: lightweight, small, picture qality in daytime is almost excellent, active steadyshot is also nice. But after few months of using it I had noticed that picture quality in low light is average, autofocus not very fast (mostly in low light), poor auto focusing on the sides of picture, no possibility to connect anything external - no mic. Before I bought it I had somewhere deep in my mind that this camcorder will have limited functionality (before this camcorder I use borrowed Sony HDR XR200...) But ... more
