I managed to get one of these on test and I must say it was an excellent piece of kit.
The picture quality of the video was excellent and so was the performance, as for the still photos, very impressive for a camcorder.
There are also sufficient manual settings, so if you’re like me you'll have plenty to play around with. However, you will have to use the 3.2-inch touch screen to get to some important functions, which can be an annoying way to use a camcorder.
The high capacity HDD allow you to save hours upon hours of full 1080 HD video
The large 3.2 - panoramic screen is of good size but the screen is still fingerprint prone. The fingerprints can be distracting at times when recording.
If you're in the market for a hard-drive-based high-definition camcorder, you won't go wrong with one of these Sonys. If 120GB is too much for you, the HDR-SR11 offers a 60GB drive and the rest of it is the same as the SR12Good Points
