I have always admired Sony products and this is another example of their superb engineering. Overall I am very pleased with the performance and the set. It is expensive compared to older technologies but on the other hand it is far lighter and easier to move. Another plus point is the lack of smooth shiny areas around the edges which reflect unwanted and distracting
light back towards the viewer.

There is an excellent picture and the sound quality is more than
satisfactory. The sound is very clear with excellent bass and there are plently of options to fiddle with. You have the option of adjusting the backlight. This avoids blacks being grey and lack of colour depth which is the case of other tv's. I have mine set at 4 (out of 10) for general watching. For a film, I turn it off completely.

The picture is crystal clear and much better in digital mode then analogue. I do not see any "ghosting" of images that are sometimes reported with these tvs. However, there is slight blurring during action scenes and when viewing football matches for example. This might be an irritant for some.
The in built digital tuner is a bonus. The set up was straight forward and an electronic programme guide was just as easy. The instruction leaflet could be better but most facilities are reasonably accessible via the menus.

Unfortunately, the stand of this TV is in a relatively fixed position. You can only move the screen a little on the stand. There is of course always the option of wall-mounting, but there are no brackets with this TV. Overall though I am more than delighted with my new Sony 26" TV.

You should be able to find this TV for just under £600 at various online locations including Amazon.
