bravia is a sony brand used to market its high deifination LCD televisons projections tvs
and front projectors a along with its home cinema range under the sub brand bravia theatre .
the bravia name is an acronmym of best revolution audio visual integrated architechure .
all new sony high defination flat panel lcd televisons in the north america now carry the
bravia logo . the name bravia replaces the lcd wega brand name which sony used for their
lcd tvs until summer 2005 early promotional photos exist of the bravia tvs still bearing
the wega name .the bravia brand is also used on mobile phones in the japanese market .
like other high defination televison lines the various bravia models differ in capability
as well as screen size . display capability capability video from a varity of sources . the
quality of the picture depends ...
Advantages: Class leading HD pictures, Well above average SD pictures, 100hz technology Disadvantages: Even though this set is cheap at £850, £850 is still a lot of money.

I considered the SonyKDL-40W4000 for quite some time. However even though this is towards the top end of Sony's range, (only the flagship X range is significantly better), it still doesn't produce a SD picture that I find good enough. On the other hand, the HD performance of the W4000 is amongst the best in it's class. In time I will be watching more and more HD, so it is also very important to me to get class leading HD pictures.
Luckily Sony seem to agree. They have come up with this, the KDL-40W4500. It's basically the W4000 with some enhancements. The main ones being 100hz scanning and improved motion control. The HD picture is improved over the W4000, making it the equal of sets in the £2000-£3000 range. But more importantly for me, the SD picture is vastly improved over the W4000 ...
