...with motion blur, etc. the Sony does a great job even without 100hz. Was initially hesitant about buying a LCD tv instead of Plasma, however, after comparing this with panasonic & samsung plasma tvs - I'd say the Sony wins hands down all the way !!!

The w4000 series has a vast improvement over the w3000 series.The picture quality is good with SD sources, particularly channels with reasonable reception like BBC look fab. DVDs look great. With HD sources the tv comes into its own, with excellent detail and clarity. Sadly there are not many HD channels available which is a shame.
Colours are bright and vivid and picture is pin sharp. The contrast is exceptional, with blacks looking detailed and whites looking brilliant. The set was good straight out of the box, however, after a little tweaking with the picture settings can see real improvement in the picture. In real life viewing situations have never noticed any problems with motion blur, etc. the Sony does a great job even without 100hz.
