As far as HDTVs go, you will not find a better quality or cheaper models than those in the LCD Bravia range and this is where Sony have well and truly decided they want to dominate the market with every possible size of screen and type of screen resolution. Speaking from personal experience, we are currently phasing out the sale of other brands and concentrating solely on selling Bravia televisions because of the demand and price mark up available to retailers. I was so impressed with the Bravia range on display in my store that I bought one myself for £1250.
The KDL-46V2500 is part of the V-series Bravia range which produces images in an LCD format on a dual panel 46 inch display. This means that rather than shining the backlight through the liquid crystals onto one screen, the colours are broken down are projected through 2 panels making each panel responsible for a set of colours. This makes the depth, contrast and levels of shading that much more clearer in comparison to rear projection models or tube televisions the KDL-46V2500 is light years ahead in terms of picture quality. The full screen resolution is 1366 x 768 pixels.
With an integrated digital tuner and auto-tuning once an upgraded aerial is attached the TV will automatically look for all available channels and store them without any human intervention. Bliss!
Although a flat screen it can be positioned flat to a wall and viewed by people sat at a 178 degree angle to the screen, that’s nearly side on! In our living room our sofas are positioned so we are roughly at a 90 degree angle to the screen and it does not affect the viewing experience at all. There is only one main speaker which I found to be adequate with a sound output of 20 watts, but must say I prefer it when attached to a fully integrated surround sound system which can be purchased separately.
With 2 Scart ports and a HDMI port you can attach video, DVD, consoles and computers to the display and each port is clearly marked and easy to reach even with the screen positioned flat to a wall.
I knew when I bought the KDL-46V2500 that is was fantastic having seen it perform first hand over a couple of weeks, but actually owning one has increased the sense of joy at viewing film and my favourite wildlife documentaries. Forget any other makes and models; the KDL-46V2500 is the best.
...sets before I purchased the SONY and could not find a better looking picture. I had to view the sets in multiple stores to get a true feel for the stores' set up variations. I spotted the best picture before looking at the brand name and everytime it was the SONY. I considered the S2500 series, but the 1080p proved to be a significant improvement.
Its great and I highly recommend this set. ...

Advantages: Great picture compared to other TVs, reasonable price, future-proof connectivity Disadvantages: None
It is now 2 weeks since I bought my first LCD, HD ready TV. This was a beautiful SonyKDL-32V2500, part of the V-series from Sony, which also includes 40? and 46? models.
I have put a lot of research into this purchase, as this is an expensive item and in the end I chose this particular model. I read a lot of reviews, checked the manufacturers websites for technical specifications and spent hours (or, more likely, days) in Sony/Panasonic/Toshiba shops, as well as in Dixons or Currys, to see the difference in picture quality. I was never to buy from a shop though, as the prices are so much higher than in the online shops (hundred of pounds difference).
One thing I would like to mention is that I could not find a single review (from people that bought the TC ? and NOT from professional reviews) that so complete, so it really gives ...
