I've had this set for 3 months now and love it. The picture is great on HD channels and I've looked hard for "clouds" but couldn't find any. Had a Vizio 46" LCD and its sound quality was better, probably because of the sub-woofer, but its picture quality was no comparison to the SONY's so I returned it.
The detail on HD shows makes you feel as if you're right there. HD broadcast quality seems to vary and I've gotten spoiled by the better broadcasts. I've looked hard at multiple sets before I purchased the SONY and could not find a better looking picture. I had to view the sets in multiple stores to get a true feel for the stores' set up variations. I spotted the best picture before looking at the brand name and everytime it was the SONY. I considered the S2500 series, but the 1080p proved to be a significant improvement.Its great and I highly recommend this set.
