Just one night sitting in front of this TV will convince you that you've bought one of the technically best sets in its class.
A colleague of mine who is a TV engineer recommended Sony Wega Trinitron sets as being the very best and he must have seen a few.
In the past I used to swap computer monitors and the Sony's were always the best, But they always used to have "fly lines" - 2 horizontal lines caused by the shadow of 2 parallel wires inside the tube. Something to do with an aperture grill tube but Im not tekky enough to know how or why just they were the best pictures, slightly spoiled by these lines. Thankfully these are a thing of the past.
Any way on to the technical stuff. My telly has got the flattest screen you've ever seen on a conventional tube type television.. So there is no picture distortion and you can watch from all angles and still see a clear picture.
Naturally it has fast text and the ability to swap between display sizes Smart / Zoom / 4:3 / Wide / 14:9 mode. Virtual Dolby surround sound is standard, however I have added a surround sound system and 5:1 speakers for true surround sound. If your going to have home cinema you need the sound to go with it.
Intelligent Tuner Preset - that means by pressing one button on the remote the TV will search for all available channels and automatically save them for you. Up to 100 channels can be stored in the sets memory.
Dual Scart input at the rear. AV input thru an invisible flap which opens up when needed at the side of the set.
Headphone socket. S-video socket (for connecting your video camera)
Rear audio out socket so you can connect your own sound equipment.
Smartlink socket - this is specific to Sony kit for connecting Sony DVD's,Video's etc.
Long silver remote control - looks classy.
In summary. If you or your family watch alot of TV then when you watch a high quality DVD on this set with surround sound, you just cant get any better.
