This is one of SONY's top range TV's (actual product code is KD32NX100 S) so comes with a bit of a price tag, I'll leave this till the end so you are not too shocked to begin with. We will start with what the TV looks ... ...movie from a DVD player. The combined results of a DVD quality picture with the un-flickering screen of the TV is just simply amazing. If you can afford it I would recommend this TV or one from the SONY range, as they are just an unbelievable picture quality.

A couple of months ago, I was on the hunt for a brand new TV. Looking around at all the different brands on offer I once again fell in love with a SONY product. My house now looks like a SONY showroom, but that is not the reason I am writing this, this review is because I cannot live without this TV now and I thought I would share it with you.
This is one of SONY's top range TV's (actual product code is KD32NX100 S) so comes with a bit of a price tag, I'll leave this till the end so you are not too shocked to begin with. We will start with what the TV looks like.
Style: SONY has buckets of style. The sleek silver lines of this beauty are just remarkable compared to the dull black shapes of most other TV's. The TV comes with it's own open stand, which looks like it's an extension of the TV itself, mirroring the lines and continuing it's form all the way to the floor. The stand has two glass shelves that can be used to hold your video and DVD player, or any other devices you want close to your TV. The cables from these devices can be easily stored and hidden away in the back support that makes the whole product look sleek. The Front of the TV is perfectly flat. Which has a surrounding ridge that dips back to the front supports. Even though the picture shows the front screen blue, mine is silver and so is every other I have seen in the shops. So this might be an optional colour but I have not seen it in the specs anywhere.
Picture: On its superb 32inch, perfectly flat, WEGA 100htz screen, the picture is astounding. Its pure flat screen reduces distortion while its FD trinitron display increases the colour reproduction for a defined picture. The 100htz refresh rate, which is almost twice as fast as a standard TV, reduces the screen flicker, which leads to an astounding flicker free, crisp picture. This is improved by the fact that it has an in-built digital tuner, alongside the standard analogue tuner, which has a PCMICA slot for digital card adapter. I originally bought this when ITV Digital was on the go with the intention of getting all the free channels through my aerial, but it still has a decidedly exceptional picture quality. The TV is a standard 16:9 ratio, but can also have many other display options depending on what you are watching. A Smart function allows the TV to change its display setting to what it thinks is the best for the program you are watching. You have the ability to Zoom into pictures. There is also the standard 4:3 mode for watching non-widescreen formats and then there is the wide mode.
Sound: Now… There is sound and then there is SOUND. This TV gives you SOUND in an astounding way. It has Virtual Dolby surround sound which mimics the sound reproduced by multiple speakers. Of course it's not as good as having multiple speakers but it better than standard. They also have an added bonus of which they call BBE, this basically means that the signal that is sent to the speakers is different which allows for a better quality of sound and reduces the amount of distortion is produced by the speakers. This means that the sound comes out crisp and the live sound sounds like it's actually in your living room, it's true I tell you.. With a power output of 2x10w RMS this TV does fill the room, especially when watching a great movie.
Other Features: Now for the rest of the bits this TV has to offer. To make life ever so simple the TV has an easy set-up procedure. One button, auto tuning and auto-start-up, which takes the strain out of having to do it all manually. Within a couple of minutes all your channels are programmed in and the auto labeling, channel installation and auto sorting doing everything else for you. It's nice and simple with the press of a button, a big bonus when your impatient like me and don't want to be fussing about tuning in each individual channel. The on-screen-display is nice and easy to use, enabling quick use of all the TV's features, and customising the sound and picture levels to your own choosing. There are also pre-set levels for those of you who can never make up your mind. There is the standard fasttext ability but this TV has a whopping 2000 page memory, which makes my previous attempt and 20 look really bad. Now we come to the connector that his amazing set has. This includes the standard Scart sockets x3, just 1 AV connection on the front alongside an S-Video connection. What is not standard is the optical output the telly has and the SmartLink connection, which allows the TV to be connected to devices with the same connection. This links the two devices together in synchronisation. E.g. if the TV and video are attached together and the TV is turned off, the video also powers down. Handy when you have to run out or if you are constantly forgetting to turn things off. It also has the standard features such as a Sleep Timer, Auto Standby and a Parent Lock.
Now comes the part where I tell you the price this would set you back. The cheapest I managed to find this was £1549 which is a rather substantial price. Although when I was looking about, other makers of TV's had non-digital versions of the same site for around the £1000 mark. So with all the features the TV has and SONY's grasp of style and functionality and reliability, I thought the added bit was worth it. This is a great TV to watch anything on, especially a great movie from a DVD player. The combined results of a DVD quality picture with the un-flickering screen of the TV is just simply amazing. If you can afford it I would recommend this TV or one from the SONY range, as they are just an unbelievable picture quality.
