This telly has recently been launched by Sony (Nov 99 I think) and I bought one from a Sony Centre on New Years Eve. (And no I did not stay in to watch it cos I do have a life!!!)

I bought the whole home cinema system in one hit and therefore got a good reduction on the price. It retails at £1,699.00 but cos I bought so much kit I got it for about £1,550.00.

The system I bought was basically the top of the range everything but I will review each one separately, needless to say the whole system is mindblowing! (KV32FQ75 TV, DVP735 DVD Player, STR-DB940 Amp and SAV-E705 Speakers - £3,000 for the lot)

Anyway back to the telly. It looks superb and in my opinion is the best looking widescreen on the market. It is silver and comes complete with the stand which has two glass shelves for your DVD, Amp etc. (my old video and sky box fit under the bottem shelf on the floor which was handy)

Picture Quality - superb. It has got 100htz and 50 htz setting which apparently when you switch it to 50htz doubles the amount of lines to give you a better picture than the standard 50htz tv's. The 50htz setting is beter for watching sport because at 100htz the moving balls/players can be a bit "blocky"

The features are very good with two picture veiwing, or 8 picture channel selecting. It has the usual fatstext and the best bit of this is that it allows you to manually select the pages ie. 1 of 4 and scroll between them without having to wait.

The widescreen is elcted automatically when somthing is broadcast is widescreen format or if not you can choose to watch it in normal size (with two black areas of the screen at each side, or smart which cuts of a bit of the picture but does not distort the images (so no fat faces!!!)

Overall this telly is the mutts nuts, even better with the system I have backed it up to!!

Buy it and enjoy!!
