These headphones were among the best that I have tried. The use of infrared as opposed to radio transmission eliminates possible interference from other transmitting sources like wirless network. They can however not be used in bright sunlight beacuase the infrared from the sun intereferes and the auto mute fuction is enabled. They also don't work with some plasma televisions for the same reason. The charging method of put them back into the transmitter is useful however it is a hassle, but this can be overcome with practice. Another slight problem is that if the volume is turned up to high on the headphones it creates quite a large amount of noise which isn't good if you have a quiet source but if you turn the volume up on the source this can be easily overcome.
The sound quality is great with good base and the two different settings for 'movies' and for 'music' are useful. The padded ear cups allow for prolonged confortable listening whilst preventing too much sound from escaping meaning that I could wear them at night without disturbing others.
Even though it is infrared and not radio I found that the range was no problem and infrared does bounce around corners so you don't have to be completely in line of sight.
Overall I am very pleased with these headphones.
