So, time for a new review...so low-and-behold, I've gone for something rather left-field for me, but I've chosen a pair of headphones I've recently had to purchase to replace my beloved iPod ones that have perished through years of loyal service.
Now, how on earth do you realistically review headphones, just basic portable headphones for an mp3 player, which can even stretch over the 150 word limit, let alone push past several hundred words? Well, lets find out...
They came in the seemingly mandatory plastic packaging along with a cardboard backing which is nigh on impossible to tear into. In big bold letters along with the manufacturers logo are the words "BASS SOUND" - so on that basis these should pack a musical punch. Now, I'm not a listener to anything heavily 'bass' orientated, much more of a guitar-band man, but nonetheless a good piece of bass emphasis can enhance even the worse piece of music. After a couple of weeks usage, they don't notably increase the audible bass level but at least they work!
Next stop, and here's a manufacturers product description...

Well that all sounds delicious and aerodynamically ingenious but it is clearly an over-hyped sales pitch. Far be it from me to question the intelluctual properties of 'neodymium' but I'm sure it's just inflated, absolute jargon.
They fit snuggly into the ear, with minimal padding, but enough to prevent rubbing and still deliver decent sound quality. They don't particularly stand out from the crowd, with theie predominantly black colour with silver trim, but I suppose that's all you expect from a set of headphones, especially at such a low price.
Speaking of the price, you can pick up a pair of these headphones from Amazon.co.uk for just £6.08 (yes, that does appear an odd price) so extremely cheap for something you could end up using every day. It's also ranked 254 in the Electronics & Photo category, so a relatively popular piece of kit.
So, surely that must be enough for a review on a very basic pair of headphones? I'd like to think so, so on that bombshell, I hope you've enjoyed you read. At 464 words, I'd like to think so!
Advantages: Good sound for none gold plated, cheap and Sony Disadvantages: Had two pairs break on me
...for £7- and they were Sony as well. Because I was skint I decided to get these and if they sucked, then later on I would get a better pair when I would afford it. Now let me tell you something, the selection of decent earphones these days is pretty small. Every company seems to be obsessesed with making earphones with those rubber cushions on- which I hate. They always fall out of my ears and end up covered in ear wax, plus when the rubber went on ... ...I figured since they were Sony they shouldn’t have broken in within a year. Argos provided me with a new pair so I thought all was well and I could enjoy my iPod again. WRONG Within the week the hissing returned. Now this was worrying considering I’d hardly used them. Joe told me he had had his pair longer than mine and they still worked fine. Figuring it must be my usual run of bad luck, I decided enough was enough, and returned them again. This ...

These headphones are both durable and inexpensive. Ive had a set for around a year now and use them almost everyday and the sound quality is just as good as the day I got them. Advantages: great sound, great fitting Disadvantages: none
I have bought a lot of headphones in the past but none compare to Sony's headphones. They are a really good fit in your ear so they don't fall out when walking, running or doing any other activity, they have a really good sound with a bass enhancer to provide a really good sound. The lead is a good length which is ideal for using with items in your pocket and the connection plug fits into most appliances including Ipod's mp3 players and some mobile ...
