Everything you need

Advantages: Keyboard input
Disadvantages: Price, and does not come with matching keyboard

This is the top of the range MiniDisc recorder - perfect for studios or just for showing off. It bosts two optical and one coax input, one optical and coax output, and analogue inputs and outputs. The sound quality is superb, it uses the latest compression algorithms to squeeze even more hi-fidelity sound from the MiniDisc medium, and has all the regular features you would want from a MiniDisc deck. MDS-JB 930

Advantages: Ease of use,PC keyboard input, great sound & style
Disadvantages: SCMS - but that's common with most minidisk players

This deck offers full control of recording and titling, uses the latest compression standard for best sound and looks pretty good too. The digital recording is excellent and speaking as one who has come from the world of cassette it's mind blowing in the lack of background noise (or tape hiss). Copies ...
...functions are really opened up. Of course you have to do a bit of labeling of keys to help the grey cells but it makes track and title editing as easy as 3.1415729..... You'll not find a better minidisk deck out there (until sony bring out the 940 anyway) ...

Amazing value

Advantages: Has everything MD's have to offer
Disadvantages: Sony have now produced soom better models

...very inferior tape format. As Sony have been making Minidiscs for the longest it is no surprice that can come up with the best deck, offering features which include a very useful keyboard input save time inputing those track names on the remote and 4 inputs (2 optical, 1 coaxial and 1 analogue). The sound quality offered here is next to perfect and the playback of pre recorded discs is good as well. The casing of unit is very solid and will match ...
