    Advantages Advantages Amazing value for money, User Friendly and Fantastic Quality

    Disadvantages Disadvantages Some features can only be done via remote or vice versa. Automatic Track Marking can be a little irritating at times. No Digital Output.

    For starters, when you are buying Sony, you can be pretty certain you are buying quality equipment. Having owned and run my own successful recording studio for a few years now, I feel I am in a pretty reasonable position to comment on sound quality. The sound quality on this particular unit is particularly good. As with all other Sony equipment I have ever owned, it has functioned reliably and as expected in day-to-day use.     I paid £100 for this about 4 years ago, it is not a bad player but it misses a few useful features. It has a plastic case and fascia rather than the usual Sony aluminium, and the remote is standard budget Sony. Sound quality is basically quite good, great for making MD for the car, or recording off digital TV staying in digital from box to MD (I record off The Hits, TMF and Radio 6). Labeling a MD is a chore as there is a choice between a knob to twiddle or pressing buttons on the remote - three presses for C or F ect. Some MD players have sockets for a PC keyboard.
