Sony KDL-32W5500U review

Advantages: A great deal of useful features and excellent connectivity
Disadvantages: Sound quality supsect at times

I have just purchased a Sony KDL-32W5500 from 1staudiovisual.co.uk as after spending days trawling the net I was unable to beat their price. I have not used this company before and was as delighted with their service as I was with their price. I chose the KDL-32W5500 as I was looking for a medium sized TV with a good level of connectivity options and specifically USB and this model seemed to fit the bill. I have still not totally got my head around the little widgets but find features such as the world clock to be very useful as I have relatives in several countries overseas. I am delighted with the picture quality of this model and perhaps only slightly disappointed with sound quality that on occasion sounds a trifle flat but overall considering the E version of this model was almost twice the price I am very happy with my purchase ...

Sony Ericsson W580i Phones 4 U & Doggy warranty

Advantages: Will test your will to live!
Disadvantages: The 12 month Warranty is not worth a light!

Bought the phone from Phones4U for Christmas Present. Two weeks after owning it, the keypad started misbehaving. Took back to shop, but shop wouldn't exchange due to 28 days post purchase. Sent phone for repair to Sony Ericson, three weeks later, rang them to find out what was happening to my phone, told phone unrepairable due to 'water damage' ... !!!! How could it be damaged by water when it has been in my pocket or on my bedside table, only had it for two weeks! Had to then pay to get the phone back from Sony Ericson unrepaired. I am extremely disappointed and upset. They sent as "evidence", a photo of "a" motherboard in support of their contention it was water damaged, but the areas of corrosion in the photo were covered by Highlighter marks and a big arrow, obscuring the "corrosion"! The IME number of the phone was added ...
